Beronet BN4S0 (quad BRI) card, echo cancel, zaptel timing, bristuff ...
Hi, I guess I'd need to run Beronet quad and octo bri cards under bristuff to get zaptel features (echo canceling, timing source).... Am I right or could I achieve this also with chan_misdn - their native driver ? Running bristuff on Beronet cards is unsupported. Has anyone succesfully run Beronet quad BRI cards under bristuff recently ? Do they work ? Regards, Rob.

Quad BRI with Fedora, anyone?
We have a QuadBRI ISDN card from Digium. We would like to make it work with Fedora Core 4 (maybe FC3), but haven't succeeded. Compilation of bristuff from the Digium homepage fails, both the stable version with asterisk 1.0.9, and the experimental version with asterisk CVS-HEAD. Has anybody here succeeded to make this work? Or could we even be so lucky that somebody made RPMs for this? Lars

BRI Newbie - What Hardware, PCI, in the US?
We are looking to lose the TDM400P in favor of an ISDN-BRI solution. This should get rid of static on the line (at least any static generated by our half of the circuit), right? I am a total virgin to ISDN. I understand that we need two BRI circuits to provide four voice channels, and that the hardware to speak to the BRI circuits can be passive or active, with the active type being much more

chan_capi, chan_misdn and chan_modem
Could someone please comment on the current state of chan_capi, chan_misdn and chan_modem channel drivers in terms of functionality and stability. Specifically, which channel driver would be best for a passive PCI HFC or W6692 ISDN card. The chan_misdn wiki claims that chan_capi distinguishes between junghanns and non-junghans cards, and that chan_misdn is better suited for general misdn

HFC ISDN card with bristuff from jung hanns.n et?
Hi Alessio Yes, the problems you report do seem similar to the issues I had. I found on the Dells that the audio prompts were very choppy and played slower than normal. Occasionally there would be 'bursts' oav a second or so of 'good' audio. I also suspected IRQ issues but the Dell Mobos had no way of adjusting them. Best thing is to try and get the card on its own unshared

Interface card for Euro-ISDN (BRI)
Hi, I'm looking for an interface card for termination of Euro-ISDN2 (BRI) lines. That is ISDN lines from the telco into my Asterisk box. Any recommendations, good/bad expiriences ? At present I'm looking at cards from BeroNet and Junghanns. Cheers, John Faroese Telecom

Re: BRI cards, HFC, and bristuff - a general questionto clear up my understanding.
Does anyone test Asterisk 1.2.X + bristuff-0.3.X and TDM card? We can't get it to work. -David -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Julian J. M. BRI and PRI together possible?
Hi, I plan to setup an * Server with a TE10P PRI card as E1 and a BN4S0 4 Port BRI card in one box. I tried it first with the bristuff drivers from Junghanns. The BRI card worked fine alone, but as soon as I load the zaptel driver for the TE110P the BRI card says, that the port is down. So I tried it with mISDN. But it seems that this stuff is still unstable (Asterisk refuses to start at first

Bri solution for Asterisk
I'm using a Cologne chip card in my Asterisk box with zapHFC drivers (bristuff-0.0.2). The system works well, but this way I'm not able to run newer version of Asterisk. Do you think it's better to use i4l support and newer version of Asterisk or keep the bristuff with older asterisk ?? Have anyone tried chan_mISDN on a 2.6 box ? How does it run ???

TDM400P and Junghanns QuadBRI issue
Hi List, I'm setting up a system with one TDM400P (2*FXO + 2 * FXS) and one Junghanns QuadBRI on a Fedora Core 6 (Kernel 2.6.20-1.2944.fc6). I'm using the bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-e kit. It download zaptel-1.2.16, libpri-1.2.4 and asterisk-1.2.17 When it's the time for ztcfg to do its job it complains with <ZT_SPANCONFIG failed on span 2: No such device or address (6)>

Quad BRI cards
Hi, I have a couple of questions about Quad-BRI solutions for Asterisk, and was hoping that I might get some feedback based on other people's experience. We currently use the Junghanns card, which is a pure Zaptel solution, which is fantastic, but they have no hardware EC solution, and their drivers are becoming increasingly un-stable with time (I back-port to a modified qozap driver from

Sorry if I missed the start of the problem but qozap is what you want to use with your Junghanns card (at least if you want to stay with zaptel/libpri). > Everyone always mentions zaphfc -- mostly I >

Zaptel ISDN BRI settings for The Netherlands KPN
Hi list! I am installing an * box that will be installed on a site with KPN BRI ISDN in The Netherlands. I am using bristuff fron Junghanns. Does anybody know the correct settings for this? I will not have internet access there which makes it harder to google around on location. switchtype = euroisdn is pretty obvious but what about these settings: signalling = bri_cpe_ptmp ; p2p TE mode

bri-stuff-0.0.2 ported to actual development CVS (head)
Hi folks, I just wanted to use Klaus-Peter Junghanns' great bri-stuf to work with the actual cvs head (26.05.2004). You can download my modified patched version of it under http://capi4linux.thepenguin.de/download/asterisk/ I think it works fine at the moment but I'm not sure if it's all perfect *g* ;-) Regards, Julian Pawlowski

BRI hardware supported by 1.6 libpri ?
Hi, Has anyone information about BRI hardware supported by 1.6 libpri ? In another thread, I was told a basic BRI card with HFC chipset (Bewan Gazel 128) was supported but I would delighted to lear about other harwarde (and specifically about Digium B410P). Compilation on Debian with support for HFC-chip based ISDN-cards
This is my first posting to the list. Thus hopefully the question has not been asked several times before... I'm trying to install asterisk on a PC using Debian Sarge but without any real success... Problem: I may get the Asterisk packet (Debian version) installed using 'apt-get install asterisk', but that does not include the bristuff from Junghanns

What quad/octo BRI cards are best/stable for EuroISDN and Asterisk ?
Hi, I'm currently deciding on what card to pruchase for octo/quad BRI card to use with Asterisk on EuroISDN lines. I'm aware of at least two options (Junghanns or Beronet), but don't know how stable and well supported they are. Which ones are better supported ? Any experiences? Any advice ? How tos ? What would you buy ? Thanks in advance, Regards, Rob.
