Re Grandstream 1.0.4.38
I just got an email from SIPphone advising that there have been problems with the above firmware and advising to reload from their server. This does in fact reload 1.0.4.35 into the phone. And now voicemail has gone AWOL again. -- Dave Cotton <dcotton@linuxautrement.com>

Grandstream Early Dial
I have upgraded my grandstream phone from firmware 1.0.3.78 to 10.0.4.30 and now I am having problems with early dial. On the older firmware earlydial worked fine with my asterisk server, but now as soon as I have dialed the number I get a congested tone, and the number 4 flashes up on the LCD screen. Has anyone had this problem, and if so, how do I fix it? -------------- next part

Out of 5 Grandstream BudgeTone 101 THREE are defect !!! (from Pulverstore)
I bought three plus two Grandstream BudgeTone 101 phones. The shipping cost more than the phone itself from Pulver store. The first shipping had one phone defect. Nothing on the display. (Can happen!) The second shipment had one phone with a defect display, but it still worked. The second phone's handset was defect too (microphone did not work). Changing the handset from this one to the

I've searched for a few days now without finding an answer. The release notes for version 1.0.5.16 of the Grandstream firmware says it supports attended transfer using replace but the docs haven't been updated so I can't work out how to enable it, or whether it should Just Work. I'm currently using the # attended transfer patch for * but would like to get back to using the

Best Grandstream firmware to use?
I've seen lots of stuff go around about Grandstream firmware levels (in my case specifically the BT101/102). I'm just wondering what the currently accepted 'best' firmware version is to use? After seeing stuff going around about buggy firmware I want to know what I'm getting into before upping past my current 1.0.5.11. It's relatively stable, and the last thing I want

Transfer from Grandstream BT100?
Hi, Does anybody know how to properly execute a transfer (without using the |Tt option) from a GS100? Scenario: 1. I call from X-PRO (ext 1100) to Grandstream (1101). 2. Grandstream answers. Call is established. 3. Press [TRANSFER] on the Grandstream. X-PRO caller is put on hold. Grandstream gets dial tone. 4. Grandstream dials 1103 (the extension of another GS100). 5. Grandstream hangs

Grandstream hold one way audio -URGENT
Hi all, At our customer site i've installed one asterisk server with 20 Grandstream GXP2000's. Firmware 1.0.1.9. When someone dials the customer, the receptionist picks up, and does an attended transfer (the 'grandstream way') to a collegue. Most of the times this goes ok, but sometimes, when the receptionist puts the call on hold, and tries te reconnect to the caller there's

Brain-dead Grandstream BT102?
Following a(n apparently) failed attempt to upgrade a BT102, the phone is now brain-dead. Although it still has enough smarts to get a dhcp address and try to download the firmware and config, it never gets past the blue screen, nor will it respond to pings or port 80. Short of sending it back to Grandstream, is there any way to recover the phone? TIA Bruce Komito High Sierra Networks, Inc.

SIP: difference between Grandstream and Cisco when behind NAT
I have used Grandstream phones for years, and have just started testing a Cisco 7940 (with SIP firmware 7.4). I have found something puzzling and don't know whether it's just a limitation or something I haven't done correctly. The Asterisk server is directly on the Internet with a public IP. The phones are on a private LAN with a NAT router to the Internet. The sip.conf entries for
