Reshape from long to wide format with date variable
Hi,
I need to reshape my dataframe from a long format to a wide format.
Unfortunately, I have a continuous date variable which gives me headaches.
Consider the following example:
> id=c("034","034","016","016","016","340","340")
> date=as.Date(c("1997-09-28", "1997-10-06", "1997-11-04",

Asterisk 1.4.11, res_features.so, SegFault
Hi All,
I have a really strange issue occuring where if I run "show dialplan" or
"dialplan show" or "dialplan show parkedcalls", then asterisk dumps core.
It only appears to happen with contexts that are created within
res_features. I am able to display all my other dialplans, but, every
time I try to just do a normal "dialplan show" asterisk core dumps

Converting integers to chars i.e 1 to "01"
Hello!
I am producing a set of images and I would like them to be sorted by names
I give. I was able to produce my names and add integer to them. That is
easy. But my problem lies in sort of file from this process:
figure_10.png
figure_11.png
figure_12.png
...
figure_1.png
figure_20.png
...
So I would like to convert integers to something like 01 if upper limit for
this conert is 10 or 001

Eliminating 'Unprintable ASCII' characters
Hi all,
I have a csv file containing words with *UNPRINTABLE ASCII* characters
(described in the following table).
Are there any viable method in eliminating these characters?
I realise that *EXTENDED ASCII* characters (i.e , ¡, ¢, £, ¤ etc) can be
removed or replaced via *"gsub"* or *"gregexpr"* functions. But am not
certain with the *UNPRINTABLE ASCII* characters.

predict.rma (metafor package)
Hi
(R 2.13.1, OSX 10.6.8)
I am trying to use predict.rma with continuous and categorical variables. The argument newmods in predict.rma seems to handle coviariates, but appears to falter on factors. While I realise that the coefficients for factors provide the answers, the goal is to eventually use predict.rma with ANCOVA type model with an interaction.
Here is a self contained example

print.raw - but convert ASCII?
Does anyone know if there is a simple way to print raw vectors, such
that ASCII characters are printed for bytes in the ASCII range, and
their hex representation otherwise? rawToChar doesn't work when we have
something like c(0x00, 0x00, 0x44, 0x00).

ifthen() question
Hi All,
I am using a specialized aggregation function to reduce a dataset with
multiple rows per id down to 1 row per id. My function work perfect when
there are >1 id but alters the 'var.g' in undesirable ways when this
condition is not met, Therefore, I have been trying ifthen() statements to
keep the original value when length of unique id == 1 but I cannot get it to
work. e.g.:

Trying to fix "Unsupported combination of battery voltage / nr. of batteries" error
Hi, everyone,
I've recently bought a UPS from Mecer. This is a South African brand
that basically resells Mustek hardware, and this UPS is no exception;
it's a Mustek product. It does come with software for Linux, but that
is terrible (the background process that monitors the UPS is written
in Java and needs a terminal to start properly, so you can't run it
from a startup script...

ZFS monitoring - best practices?
We''re starting to grow our ZFS environment and really need to start
standardizing our monitoring procedures.
OS tools are great for spot troubleshooting and sar can be used for
some trending, but we''d really like to tie this into an SNMP based
system that can generate graphs for us (via RRD or other).
Whether or not we do this via our standard enterprise monitoring tool

Cisco Asterisk Integration
Hello All,
I have managed to get my cisco and asterisk able to talk to one another I
think. But cannot make a call from a phone behind call manager to the
asterisk server.
I have followed the cisco asterisk integration on the wiki.
I have also setup a number 3000 for dialing for current local time and date
on asterisk. I can call from a sip phone behind asterisk, no problems. The

SegFault when using TunnelServer=yes
Hi all,
I have a network with about ~800. The network is a mix of tinc 1.0 and
1.1 nodes. It is gradually expanding for several years now.
The problem is that at some point it seams the daemon can not handle the
processing of the new connection and the edges.
There are 3 major nodes in the system and every other node initially
makes connection to one of them.
Now after a lot of debugging

[PATCH] xen: arm: Fixing ttbcr (TCR_EL1 for AArch64) size.
This patch fixes size of ttbcr register (TCR_EL1 in case of AArch64)
and it''s programming considering size in case of context switch.
Currently ttbcr is defined as 32b register but for AArch64 TCR_EL1
size is 64b.
