Wildcard TDM400P (TDM40B) connectors
Hi, I'm no phone guy but I've been having quite a bit of fun messing with Asterisk. I just unwrapped my new Wildcard TDM400P (TDM40B) which is the new 4 port FXS PCI card. It has 4 RJ45 connectors and I'd like to hookup 4 regular phones which are RJ11. If I crip RJ45 connectors to the phone cords do I simple use the center two pins (pins 4 and 5)? Thanks, Randy Smith Tiger

TDM400P > BT
Hi folks, Any Brits on the list got experience of hooking devices with standard BT plugs to the TDM400P? The TDM400P has the RJ11/RJ45 socket but I'm not sure if a standard adapter will do the trick or if we need to consider ring capacitors etc. Any links to buy the stuff would also be appreciated. Connection TDM400P to UK PSTN
I'm a complete Asterisk novice and have an installation based on the Asterisk@HomeCD. I've installed my TDM400P with 2 x FXO & 2 x FXS, but every time I try to dial out, I get a message "No circuits available". Can someone confirm the pinouts for connecting the FXO's to a UK BT Line - I have RJ11 connectors on the back of my TDM400P card, so ideally I'd like to

PSTN/phone/FXO/FXS cabling issue
I just received a Wildcard TDM400P by FedEx yesterday. I noticed that the FXO/FXS modules use connectors similar to Ethernet. Now, i want to connect the TDM400P to the PSTN connector in the wall, and also to a regular analog phone. Both the PSTN conn and the phone use smaller connectors, typical for analog phones. I searched the "official" docs and the Wiki, there's good

2400P Pinouts
Hi, this is probably a stupid question but can someone point me to where I can find the pinouts for the connector at the back of the TDM2400P card from Digium. I am assuming this is some kind of telecomms standard but I need to connect to 8 existing analogue lines and therefor need to wire this connector to a patch panel or R11 jacks. Also most of the docs do not mention this card - am I

Adit 600 for asterisk
Ok, I've pretty much decided to try the Adit route. Somebody who has experience with these tell me if I'm missing something. I have 15 incoming PSTN lines. T1 is not an option at current location. I want to put in an Adit 600 with 2 8-port FXO boards. The adit will then connect to * via a digium t1 board. I configure zaptel.conf for the T1. What other parts would be needed? How do

TDM400P/FXS in a HP DL380 G5
The HP DL380 G5 (like many rack servers) has no AMP Mate-n-Lok connector available to attach to a card that needs more power than the PCI bus can provide, like the TDM400P when FXS modules are used. HP has confirmed that there is no part they sell to give you such a connector, and Digium says their business edition folks got it to work, but only by doing nasty warranty-voiding things to the

Digium TDM400P has RJ45 interface, how to connect to analog phone RJ11?
<div><BR>Hello,</div> <div>&nbsp;I bought a TDM400P, and intended to use it with my analog phone, which is RJ11 ofcourse. So, the question now, how do I plug in my RJ11 phone to the TDM400P card, which has an RJ45 interface? Also, since it's an 11B card, I also intend to bring in an analog line into the RJ45, so i am still left with the same question....how do I go

Adit Asterisk Cabling Connundrum.
I am hoping to replace my Nortel 8x24 switch with Asterisk. Right now my cabling comes from my outside phone box into my office and into a punchdown block and leaves the punchdown block as an amphenol connector which currently plugs into the Nortel swicth. A second amphenol connector them plugs into the switch and extends to another punchdown block that I believe carries the lines throughout the

Convert you FXS port to FXO cheap
If you have an FXS port and would like to attach a PSTN analog line to it this device would do the job by converting the FXS port to FXO. It's a small external device. Works well with VOIP FXS and other FXS interfaces. Interface: 2 RJ11 Jacks (one for the FXS port and one for the PSTN outlet.) Cost: $35.00 with USPS regular mail included. Power: 9 to 20V dc power supply (Not

Best echo-free and trouble-free system?
We currently have a 15-phone system using Asterisk, a combination of analog phones/Grandstream HandyTone-286 and Grandstream BT101s, and 4 X100Ps connected to analog lines. The system works well except for the occasional echo problem. I have all the echo parameters configured, removed all the extra incoming analog lines except to the PBX, etc. following all the advice on the wiki and on the

digium dev kit - X100P & TDM400P
Hello. Well I finally rx'd my dev kit (new batch of TDM's apparently. I'm on Mandrake 9.1 There were no hardware install instructions, it would have been nice to know whether the 4-way power connector was to be used or was for some other future or expansion purpose. It came with a floppy disc, no label and it wasn't even write protected. The only readme file was

TDM400P (TDM22P) and aux power.
I need to ask, to refresh, is the aux power connector on the TDM400P card *only* to power the ringer on any analog phones/devices on the system? Can I still use this board, to "terminate" POTS lines and use all SIP Phones? Due to circumstances, I end up with a 1u server that has no aux power connectors available. I "have to" use this server, so am considering abandoning

TAE to RJ11 connector (hope not OT)
Hi, I'm trying to use a Detewe TA 33-clip but there is no rj11 connector on it...only a TAE connector. I'd like to create an adapter so I need to know which TAE pins to connect to RJ 11 pins. Is there anybody who knows where I can find a schema of that adapter? Single connector pinout may help too. TIA Giorgio Incantalupo

Really Old Rotary Phone
Ok... I am not a telephone guy... I was born after rotary phones, so forgive my ignorance in this matter. I am trying to get a really old rotary phone up and running with an ATA. Why? Who knows... just thought it would be cool. The problem is that it does not have an RJ11 connector, instead it has three wires (green, yellow, red). Does anyone know what that type of connector is called? Or
