If you wan't to create a ringtone with makering.pl for firmware 1.0.50, be sure to create it as ring.bin and then rename it to ring1.bin / ring2.bin or ring3.bin. This seems to be the only change between the format from 1.0.4.68. Regards, Maron

I just downloaded the zip file from grandstreams website to upgrade my gxp2000 firmware from 1.0.0.3 to the latest but seems there are some files missing on the zip file... The about-to-be-released Grandstream firmware now supports multiple ringtones, but (so far) I haven't been able to unearth any documentation as to how one uses them. Anyone out there know anything about this? I've googled, read the firmware READMEs and combed the GS site without any luck. Thx. B.

I have an asterisk system with three TDM100P (single port FXO) cards and 10 Grandstream 100 phones connected to it .. 1st question: when i phone out or receive a call from one of the SIP phones onto the PSTN, there is a LOT of local echo in the handset .. the PSTN end of the call does not here this echo, but it's VERY annoying on the SIP end of things .. the echo seems to be about 0.3

FYI to all you Grandstream users out there. I just fetched and installed the 1.0.5.0 firmware, and it appears they have removed the option to either do or not do SIP registration. Now it appears that one is going to register with the server specified in the "SIP Server" field, without any ability to disable it. Bug or feature? Just thought I'd put this out there and see if
