I have problem with a TDM40B installation. When i modprobe wcfxs the error i get is the following: /lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/misc/wcfxs.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters. You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg /lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/misc/wcfxs.o: insmod

Module wcfxs - is it not part of astlinux?
Hello I am (attempting) to run the astlinux version of Asterisk on a VIA embedded platform. I have a TDM04B and pretty sure zaptel.conf and zapata.conf setup OK. They worked fine with same card in traditional PC anyway. I think need the module wcfxs for a Digium TDM04B card. Is this module not part of astlinux? Do I need to download it? Or is it in opt? I see wctdm - but think that is

how to add more TDM04B
I already have one Digium TDM04B installed in my server working fine. I just received 2 more so I did added them to my server. When I booted again linux told me that it found new hardware I said ignore. Then I log in as usual. I did ztcfg -vv to see if it sees 12 channels now instead of 4 but it only see 4. So then I did again modprobe zaptel, then modprobe wcfxo and wcfxs hoping it would see

TDM04B vs Dell
Hi all, I've struggled for several days trying to get a Digium TDM04B 4-port wxfco card working on a Dell 1U PowerEdge 750 machine running Fedora Core 1. I finally got a call back from Digium who indicated that there is a fundamental conflict between the card and the PowerEdge having to do with PCI interrupts. Asterisk version is stable v1-0 12/29/04. The symptoms of the problem were as

Strange Zaptel Modprobe driver failure
Hello, my first post to the list. I have started to install and play with Asterisk. I was following some basic instructions to 'jump-start' my system. I have a TDM400P with one port and a X100P. I am running the latest CVS versions (from today). Following the steps I found for basic jump-start I did the following: Modprobe zaptel Modprobe wcfxo Modprobe wcfxs Edited

Intel 536ep as a FXO?
Hi, I've seen some reports about ruuning Intel modem with 537 or MD3200 chipset running with Zaptel drivers as a FXO port. Did anybody managed to set up a PCI faxmodem based on Intel536ep chipset to work with * and Zaptel drivers? Modem seemd to work just fine with Linux, but the driver says no;) some more info: Linux 2.4.26 mazuchna:~# cat /proc/pci | grep 536 Communication

Hi, I recently purchased two X100Ps and a TMD40B. I have set everything up according to the instructions however I can't get asterisk to pick up an incoming call (It just keeps ringing). Also, when I pick up an internal extension I get dead air. I searched the mailing list for 3+ hours -- What am I missing? Thanks in advance for your help. Here are the installion steps that I used:

CPU spikes with wcfxs loaded
I need to reopen this discussion because it's impossible to run spandsp (and VoIP) under these circumstances. With zaptel unloaded, I see the following "vmstat 1" output: no swapping, an occasional disk output, +/- 1003 interrupts/sec., less than 10 context switches/sec., CPU idle 100%. A very quiet system. I load modules zaptel and wcfxo, and the system utilization stays the

TDM11B modprobe wcfxs fails
Hi, I got my TDM11B and am trying to get it to work on my PC. However, I'm having difficulty getting the wcfxs driver to load. I've Googled this problem, and while there are others who have ran into the same problem, none of the solutions work for me. I would very much appreciate it if you could suggest things I could try to resolve this problem. Details follow. The PC is somewhat

One voicemail -> multiple recipients?
The subject pretty much says it all. I have a customer who would like to have an option where a caller can leave a voicemail in such a fashion that it would be simultaneously delivered to a set of mailboxes all at once--the idea is "trouble ticket" type operation where multiple technicians will *each* get the vm. He prefers that, if we can do it, to a "shared mailbox"

Account code on SIP
I was wondering if the accountcode flag works with sip channels. I was looking into the debug and ,even if I have the line accountcode=XXX into the users sections of my sip.conf, I don't see it logged into the cdr. Call queues for phone operator
Hi. I was wondering how can I make incoming calls to wait if the phone operator is busy. I've 8 incoming lines, with 30 extensions. What I need is if the operator is busy with call nr #1 , the new incoming call waits until the op. is free. Looking into app_queue seems the way to go. So I want to ask if I'm right or wrong: I set up only a queue , is to say operatorq, where the only member

busydetect and random hangups
Hi, I'm having random hangup problems with zap channels. If I turn busydetect off in Zapata.conf, * fails completely to detect a user hangup in the middle of a script. On the other hand, if I turn it on, everything works much better, but long calls tend to be hung up without a motive. Any other parameter that I can try? Any #define that I can tweak and recompile? Will callprogress

Interrupt latency problems
I'm debugging a TxFax problem whereby the fax transmission fails. I suspect interrupt latency--some interrupt routine is holding its interrupt too long. I have all unnecessary services switched off and X is not running when I perform these tests. Some transmission are successful while others fail at random points. I've noticed that after I boot Linux, load zaptel, wcfxo, and wcfxs,

RedHat 9.0 and 100 percent CPU utilization
Please, don't hate me because I use Redhat. I am aware that I am asking for problems in running Asterisk on Redhat. I recently aquired a nifty server, moved my digium cards, and installed asterisk. I noticed that one of the four processors was being used at 100% and nothing was working. I tracked CPU utilization back to the Asterisk process. Please, help. James
