I have many remote locations that dial into a central server to retrieve voicemail via IAX. Outbound calls are handled as SIP calls from a Snom to a local (to them) Asterisk server that dials the main server thru IAX. I have trained them to check their voicemail via the emailed WAV file, however some of them are, how shall I put it, idiots*, and insist that they *have* to have the MWI indicator

However, when I go to the download page (http://www.snom.com/support_dl_en.php), the latest firmware version available for the Snom200 is 2.04g. Does anyone have personal experience with a 5.8gig wireless phone (system) that has an MWI that WORKS with asterisk via fxs (in my case spa3k) generated MWI. I know the spa3k does stuttered dialtone but not sure if it generates FSK MWI. I see some that state they do but I also see reviews that say they don't. Doug

I have a Sipura 962 endpoint on Asterisk 1.4 where the MWI works perfectly, however my theory is that it should be broken. Obviously I'm wrong but "Sip show subscriptions" does not show the endpoint subscribing to the MWI status on Asterisk, even though all of the other endpoints on the system DO subscribe for their respective mailboxes, including SNOM & Polycom endpoints.
