IPKall->FWD->Asterisk
Hi Folks, I recently setup an asterisk system in order to provide a telephone phone system for my web hosting business at a very low expense. My problem is that DTMF tones are not being recognized when calling the IPKall phone number. Calling my server via FWD and IAXTel works out fine however. Has anybody experienced this with the IPKall service? are they not passing the DTMF tones or am I doing

Long story short, I have a small LAN, a Red Hat 8.0 fileserver, a Win95 fileserver and 2 workstations, one Win98SE and the other is Red Hat 8.0. Using Samba as the common file system thread, I can access and play an MP3 file from the Win95 server using the RH workstation and it works fine. Plea for help: Windows/Linux interoperability diffculties
Everyone, I'm at the last straw. For at least 5 to 6 months I have tried to get Samba 2.0.6 and Samba 2.0.7 to interoperate with Windows 98, with only partial success. Whenever a Windows machine does an SMB query of the master browser on my network, it takes an abysmally long time to respond. Whenever a Windows machine attempts to print, it becomes unstable and starts crashing. I'm

CentOS Release Lifespan
I''ve just started using CentOS as an alternative OS for some servers for a project. At the time 3.4 was the release of choice. I''m curious how long the CentOS project will release fixes and patched rpms for 3.4 before it would be necessary to migrate these machines to 4.x. I rather know in advance so I can plan accordingly and slowly migrate these over time. I do realize that 4.x

Re: The LPBN radio station.
hi I wonder if you would like to join my localplayer.com network? I operate on the same philosophy. All my artists are unsigned and I have their consent to stream their music. on my station. I envision a drop down menu that helps me navigate to the city of my choice. Raymond wrote: > Hello: > > I'm starting a radio station on the LPBN. The music will be from all > local Los

Asterisk Conferencing using g729
Could anyone who has successfully configured Asterisk to use g729 to conference 10-20 people please post their configs. I purchased and successfully installed 2 g729 licenses and but when I dial into my conference number on the Asterisk box from a SPA-2000 set to allow all codecs, it always appears to connect using ULAW. My iax.conf file includes the following under the general section
