RE: current version
I tried to use it to create a 'trunk' to Cisco's call manager. The 0.7.1 code worked up to a point. The call would be established, but audio was one-way from the Call Manager. Asterisk with Chan_h323 would not setup the sending rtp stream. The debug results showed the sending stream as using ip:0.0.0.0 I have not checked for a CVS update to see if it is fixed, or if that

SIP Absolute Timeout
Hi All, I've been having a hard time getting the AbsoluteTimeout function to work. Is this Function working in for SIP? I've search all the messages in the news letters and tried what was suggested and still have not gotten it to work. Below is a portion of my extensions.conf. I've also been running these test on ver 0.5.0 exten => _X.,1,Absolutetimeout(20) exten =>

i'm looking for reference guide for Skinny SCCP
Hi all, I'm writing my graduation theses : analysis VO-IP protocols , and I cannot find any documents about Cisko Skinny Client Control Protocol. I have Cisco CallManager and some IP-phone and I'm sniffing traffic between that, but I don't understand, how this protocol works. Clearly i'm looking for description of SCCP commands and explanation some basic SCCP scenarios or what

chan-sccp problem, phone is not registering
Hi list! I'm trying to configure the Kirk IP 600 wireless (DECT) system. The wireless phones are regular DECT phones, the Kirk IP 600 is doing the voip part by registering/gatewaying the phones to a callmanager server. The phones do not work and I think the problem is that they do not register at asterisk but I'm not sure because I don't understand a thing of the sccp/skinny

SCCP questions
Hi! I have two, not too related questions: - the probably simpler one: if anyone can help me out using a Cisco 7905G with chan_sccp? I did already managed to get it working with a SIP image, I'd just like to see it work with this one as well. It's probably something I screw up with the configuration, as the phone registers, only I don't get any lines with it, although I have it

Kirk SIP-DECT gateway
Hi, I just got some interesting information from Kirk Telecom (www.kirktelecom.com). This company has been in the business of providing DECT solutions (IP gateway, base stations, repeaters and handsets) either to be used with Cisco CallManager (SCCP protocol) or with the Innovaphone IP PBX system (H.323). Two important elements: 1. It seems they foresee a SIP version of their product in Q1

SCCP port numbers used for audio stram?
I have a 7921 wireless phone working with Asterisk, and I want to tighten the wide open port range of my IPTABLES now. I tried allowing only SCCP port (2000) in/out and found that my audio was gone. A quick look at my iptables message shows source port 15886 and dest port 25968 used: FORWARD - Drop: IN=eth1 OUT=eth2 SRC=172.31.253.4 DST=172.31.254.102 LEN=200 TOS=0x18 PREC=0xA0 TTL=63 ID=0

cisco 7970 sccp
Does anyone have the 7970 work with sccp? I have used the example configurations from the wiki. I can see that the phone is failing to retrieve the CTLSEP<MAC>.tlv file and then is able to retrieve the SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml file. The phone is hanging with the message "updating ctl". Thanks, John SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml: <device> <devicePool>

Cisco 7940/7960 SIP functionality questions
Hello, I'm considering using Asterisk with some type of Cisco phone, and currently considering either the 7940 or 7960 because of its more-complete functionality (compared to the 7905). I'm currently wondering: Do all the expected functions (transfer, conference, voice mail, message waiting indicator, etc.) work normally with Asterisk over SIP? What caveats are known about using

Cisco 7960 SIP + 7914
I found a few mentions of the 7914 being used with Asterisk, these all covered SCCP/skinny though. Does anyone know if the 7914 can even be used with SIP? If so, any pointers? Is it a services thing? Anyone get the operator (line/extension status) to work with it. Thanks for the help, Cisco doesn't even mention ANYTHING about SIP + the 7914. Matt

Can Asterisk bridge between a SIP client and a Cisco Call Manager server?
Hi, This is probably outside what Asterisk is intended for, but I'm hoping it can help. I need to make and receive calls through a Cisco Call Manager server that I have no control over. I have to use a Cisco soft phone (Cisco IP Communicator), which only runs on Windows. But I'm on Linux. CCM is apparently capable of supporting SIP and H.323 interfaces, but they won't provide

cisco 7940 firmware upgrade
I have been trying for sometime to upgrade this phone to either sip, or the latest sccp (at this point I don't care) with no success. It has an sccp image (don't know the version off the top of my head) that is incompatible with chan_sccp. When I boot up the phone, it asks the tfpt server for the .tlv file, then the SEP<mac> file which it receives successfully. It then asks for

Kirk IP600 V3 DECT Wireless server
Hi list! Does anyone have experiences with the updated model of the Kirk IP600? The V3 model is supposed to support SIP instead of only SCCP or H323 which would make the use with Asterisk a lot easier. I have only tested the Kirk IP600 V2 with SCCP / Skinny protocol which is still giving me severe headaches : - the standard Skinny driver in * doesn't work, only the version of Sergio

Help with asterisk-oh323 driver
Hi all, Sorry if this has been answered previously, but I have not had any luck trying to find it. I am trying to connect my Asterisk server (1.0 stable, Fedora Core 2, kernel 2.6.8-1.521) to connect to a gateway that can only support H323. I have installed the asterisk-oh323 channel driver (version 0.6.3b) using Open H323 1.13.5 (patched as per asterisk-oh323's instructions) and PWLIB

Cisco 7970 SIP upgrade issues
Dear Asterisk People, I am having problems putting a SIP image on a 7970. I was wondering if anyone can help? First problem is the phone is running version Load IDJar70.2-5-47-17.sbn Boot Load ID7970_64054100.bin Version5.0(0.6S) So I did read that you couldn't simply put the latest SIP image on such an old phone and a newer firmware version should be used. I got

Cisco Call Manager & Asterisk for Voicemail
Has anybody successfully (or I guess unsuccessfully for that matter) implemented Cisco Call Manager and used an * box for voicemail? I checked the wiki and google and I see some references to Call Manager Express and *, but CME is completely different than CM. If anybody has done this or has any insight, it would be appeciated. We are trying to migrate ~ 300 users off of Cisco Unity and

oh323 driver and RFC2833
Hello, I have installed oh323 channel driver. Outgoing calls to H.323 world do not include RFC2833 in the outgoing TerminalCapabilitiesSet despite that userInputMode=RFC2833 has already been set. Does anyone know how to make RFC 2833 DTMF relay work over oh323 channel? Kind regards, Fernando Herrera _____ De: Fernando Herrera [mailto:fherrera@iplan.com.ar] Enviado el:
