Newbridge Mainstreet 3624
I've got a Newbridge CB hanging on the wall not being used right now and
I'd like to hear opinions on using it with Asterisk. If anyone has a manual
for it I'd like to get a copy of it. I tried the googling approach but
turned up nothing much except a Tech manual if I want to change out control
boards.
Thanks

Newbridge Mainstreet 3624 Manual
Hi all,
I have posted a copy of the 3624 manual on the web. It's 11MB and over
650 pages, so not exactly light reading! You can grab it at
http://www.caeveo.com/files/newbridge3624.pdf. Please be kind and save
it to your local machine instead of reading it from the web! Thanks!

Problem with digits blending on inbound pulsed digits?
I have a situation where I am receiving DID calls using Immediate Start
Pulse signalling on a Loop Start trunk. The line terminates on a Newbridge
Mainstreet 3624 channel bank, which provides battery etc. The channel is
converted and routed to Asterisk. The lines are configured as follows:
/etc/asterisk/zapata.conf
; Channels 1-24 service MainStreet 3624 channel bank
context=infrom-did
group=1

Problem with digits blending on inbound puls ed digits?
To answer my own question for the record:
The relevant timing parameters in zaptel.h are
#define ZT_MINPULSETIME (15 * 8) /* 15 ms minimum */
#define ZT_MAXPULSETIME (100 * 8) /* 150 ms maximum default, lowered
to 100ms */
#define ZT_PULSETIMEOUT ((ZT_MAXPULSETIME / 8) + 50)
And the pulse detecion loop that consumes these parameters begins at line
4866 of zaptel.c

Can Asterisk provide Answer Supervision signalling to a channel b ank via T1?
I have an older Newbridge Mainstreet 3624 upon which I'm terminating some
analog DID lines. They are effectively loop-start trunks with battery
supplied by me (ie. FXO) and consumed by the serving central office. One
major part of DID is the requirement for providing Answer Supervision in the
form of battery polarity reversal on the analog trunks. Without it wierd
things start happening, like

Re: 12.50$ per port ???
Shoval,
Interesting Mention. I agree, most people don't have CO exp. And I
wish daily I had enough.
Understand that what I mean by my e-mail is consumer side FXS ports, in
broader terms, I mean, customer picks up a phone line, it signals a
channel bank which signals *. 24 of those channels.
Not channels equipped to Send Signal to the CO that a loop has been made..
meaning FXO.

Bridged trunks stuck off hook.
Hi,
I'm getting a situation where 2 of my trunks (loopstart pots) are
occationally bridged together (3624 Newbridge channel bank - asterisk
signalling=fxs_ks for trunks) and are staying off hook until I do a 'soft
hangup' on one of them. When I listen on a butt set each of the lines are
silent (or at least by the time I find them). I am guessing one of the end
users isn't properly

[asterisk-app-dev] ARI Node JS Bridge.addChannel
Hiya,
I would have expected this to show the channels in the bridge inside the anonymous function - it shows the bridge is empty though?
var bridge = ari.Bridge();

SMP goes away after installworld (4.8-STABLE)
Hello,
I installed 4.8-RELEASE a few weeks ago, and since I let
the effort sit stagnant for a while I decided to do the
cvsup/buildworld/buildkernel/installkernel/installworld/mergemaster/MAKEDEV
steps to get current.
Went fine, rebooted, then noticed that just one CPU was recognized:

Shorewall and Xen with network-dummy
Hello *,
I''m trying to setup Shorewall under Ubuntu 7.04 and Xen configured to
use network-dummy instead of network-bridge (network-bridge seems to be
buggy at the moment under Debian/Ubuntu).
Is there a shorewall config example I can use in combination with
network-dummy?
In particular, with network-dummy there is no peth interface and the
bridge include the real eth interface.

include a file ?
ok, I've got yet another newbie question.
My extensions.conf is getting rather longish and I'm getting dizzy
moving back and forth editing this thing. Can I use the include command
to include a file in order to break extensions.conf up into more
manageable pieces ? Is breaking up the extension.conf file an OK thing
to do ?
Maybe something like this:

Function to compute multi-response, multi-rater kappa?
I'm looking for a function in R that extends kappa to multiple raters when
there is more than one response per subject. For example, say a group of
doctors have to assign diseases to patients. Each patient will be assigned
one to many diseases, and the number of doctors assigning diseases to any
one patient will be two to many.
Here's an extremely simple example of the type of data I

I added the playback line to my [macro-stdexten] context but when I dail

Does anyone know if Allison has recorded anything along the lines of:

Thanks.

after hours logic
Hi. I'm new to Asterisk and have been working on setting up a
development server but have gotten myself a bit confused.
I'd like to implement the following logic for calls coming from the
PSTN:
Check for caller-id
yes => keep going
no => play SIT and prompt for telephone number
Check time of day to see if it's day / night
day => ring some phones

Greetings,
I have a groupedData (nmGroupedData) object created with the following syntax:

data=soil.data,
labels=list(x='Solution Concentration', y='Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity'),
units=list(x='(cmol_c)', y='(cm/s)')
)

after hours - is this logic ok ?
Ok, first off, Asterisk is the coolest piece of software I have EVER had
the pleasure of using in my 8 years of running linux !! and I know I
haven't even scratched the surface feature wise.
Before I get too excited, I wanted to get all you experts to look at the
how I implemented my after hours test. The goal is to prevent the phone
from ringing afer certain hours, just go to VM.
