recording calls
Hello, You can use ZapBarge as an extension in your dialplan to listen in on conversations going on in Zap channels(Zaptel device channels) As for recording you can use the Manager interface command StartMonitor to start recording of a Zap channel and StopMonitor to stop it. Zap channels are pretty much the only ones right now that you can directly monitor and record through Asterisk. If

zap barge restrictions
I have a couple of questions on the zapbarge: 1) zapbarge asks for a channel - how would a manager know what channel to enter ? Is there any way of being able to enter an extension number instead ? I know that you can get the information from the manager interface, but I wouldn't want to give my users access to this, or have to install / write a system just to get an extension number from a

7777 (simulate incoming call) not working
I'm setting up a new AAH 1.0 box to replace my AAH 0.6 box. Though on the new box, I've installed a generic ebay X100P. I don't have my livevoip or voicepulse accounts set up yet on the new box (can both boxes be registered at the same time?). I've set up one IP phone (SPA841) with the new box. I have my SBC POTS line plugged into the fxo card. I set up everything in AMP.

live monitoring
Hello, I've search through all of the lists and cannot find any descriptions of live monitoring (monitoring a phone call going on between an extension and a zaptel channel live from another extension while the monitoring phone is muted). I am aware of the monitor function which is actually a call recorder, but I'm looking for live monitoring from a muted extension. is this easily

Call screening
I've set up asterisk with my X100P as a home answering machine. Works great so far - answers the phone after 20 seconds, runs the phone tree, emails voicemail, etc. However, the one feature traditional answering machines have that I haven't been able to figure out is how to listen in on the call. Ideally I could just route through Console/dsp and hear it on my speakers. I've tried

ZapBarge restrictions?
Anyone successfully implemented a solution for allowing ZapBarge call monitoring only for a specific group of agents calls? The issue I see is that the feature only works on zap channels, and all of the agents (in many cases) are IP phones. Allowing ZapBarge and ZapScan on the TDM PSTN (t100p) interface has privacy issues for senior managers, but would allow all outbound zap calls to be

zapbarge w/o the mute
I've got a couple of different situations where I'd like to do something like zapbarge into a specific channel but I'd like to be able to actually talk to the party or parties on the channels, not just listen like w/ zapbarge. There are two scenarios I can think of right now where it'd be very handy. a) when the outside line is ringing and Asterisk is waiting to answer or

chanspy and DISA
Hello all, OS OpenSuSE 10.3 * ver 1.4.26.2 zaptel ver. 1.12 Digium TE122 I have a request for remote users to be able to dial through the system so that the sales managers can barge/chanspy on the sales force. I have the DISA part working with authentication(rather straight forward) but what I can not figure out is how to enable the supervisors to be able to barge on these calls. Is there a

help needed-call recording
Hi, I am trying to change the dialplan to enable call recording (incoming and outgoing calls) on the "click of a button". Is it possible? All the documentation I found so far, enable recording for 'all calls' to an extension. Does this code look ok? Currently Recording "on" only for 1030 when user presses *44, start recording. *55 to stop recording

ZapBarge a PRI DDI
I'm using a TE405p with all four spans enabled, two configured as pri_cpe and two as pri_net, the asterisk is sitting between our ISDN (UK BT EuroISDN30) and our phone system. We have 200 DDI numbers on the ISDN's and I need to give one of our clients dial-in access to be able to monitor calls we handle on their behalf. I've got ZapBarge working but I need to restrict the client

E&M Wink and T4xxP losing ability to dial
Hey folks, I'm pulling my hair out on this situation and would welcome some advice: I'm using the AMI Manager to Originate calls onto 2 E&M wink T1 circuits via a T4XXP card from Digium. Everything works fine for about 600(+/- 50) calls then the Manager is suddenly unable to launch calls. Using ZapBarge to listen to the channels themselves you can hear the dtmf digits being dialed,

advanced audio recording agi help
I'm thinking about doing a project using asterisk that would let someone call in and save the audio to a wav file. I know it can be done using Record() or zapbarge. However, I'd like to be able to do some more complicated/interactive things such as: 1. record some audio 2. play it back 3. pause the playback in the middle 4. start recording again in the middle where I had paused it 5.

ZapBarge
I was ZapBarging an extension the other day (sorry, CVS Head as of last week) and "forgot" to put down the phone when the conversation ended. To my consternation, I then started to listen to a totally different conversation - I think that the zap channel got re-used. Is there any way to force the zap barge to drop when either party hangs up ? Thanks. Julian

Getting Agent Channel information
Given that all agents are on SIP phones (Cisco 7940), and all outside lines are EuroISDN channels (using a TE405P), is there any way of finding what zap channel is being used by an agent channel within a dialplan ? If you type "show agents" on the CLI you get information like: 6038 (Agent 6038) logged in on SIP/6908-8445 talking to Zap/63-1 (musiconhold is 'default') What I

DTMF issue on IVR
Hi All, I encountered a DTMF problem. We have an IVR built on Asterisk 1.0.7 with RedHat 9. When the caller calls into our IVR, and IVR plays the first prompt and asks caller to dial four-digit extension. Caller has to dial slowly, otherwise, Asterisk cannot recognize the extension number. I look at the trace on Asterisk CLI and there are missing digit in the middle of string. ex, caller
