NAT working outbound with Asterisk and ATA-186 phones
Thanks, Mark! Here's a summary of what one needs to do in order to get NAT working with Asterisk. Please note that I have a Cisco ATA-186, and your experience may be slightly different based on the equipment you're using. You'll need to have a CVS updated version of Asterisk as 2003-03-06 ~2:00 PM EST. NOTE: This currently works for outbound calling only, not inbound. In other

Windows 2000 and Samba
I have a Samba server running on an AIX 4.4.3 RS6000 that has been serving up files without problem. Recently, a pair of machines, both Windows 2000 Pro, haven't been able to gain access to any of the Samba resources on the AIX server though they were both able to previously. Other WinNT and Win2k machines can get to these shared resources fine, just not these two. I haven't found anything

Asterisk Documentation
Dare I ask? I'm new to Asterisk. I like what it has to offer, however, I'm having a hard time finding documentation to configure it correctly. Can anyone tell me where I can get good Asterisk documents? Here's what I have put together: http://www.simplifiednetwork.com/asterisk. Streaming Hold Music
I've tried getting this running but mpg123 won't spawn. It spawns fine for the files but if I try streaming she doesn't work. I've tried with just about every stream at somafm.com w/o success. I can play them locally though. When I try to play them from the server from the command line I get: # mpg123 -s --mono -r 8000 -b 2048 http://160.79.128.40:8052 High Performance MPEG

Life's truth, but among hidden in the insipid.
Many people always complain no chance of success, it's because they didn't find opportunity's eyes. Opportunities will always exist, as long as you are good at capturing, it often is around you, on the way to success, if you don't have the patience to wait for the arrival of success, you have to use the lifetime of the patient to face failure. wholesalers (http://www.ebuybus.com)

Asterisk MOH playing old audio for first 30 to 60 seconds
Calling all members of the asterisk community, I am posting about an old issue that has been reported many places and times online, To my amazement, there has yet to be anyone that has reported any solutions to the following problem. "Initially when putting callers on hold, it plays between 30 and 60 seconds of old audio that was on the stream in the past. Then after that 30-60 seconds, it

Permission error (Mantis bugtracker)
Hi all, I've installed mantis.noarch and mantis-config-httpd.noarch packages. The problem is I always get the same error in Apache:. You don't have permission to access /mantis on this server. It's curious 'cause: * I work in localhost mode and I've running drupal site and phpMyAdmin without problems. So, Apache works fine. * I've created mantis ddbb according the docs

bugtracker for SwitchTower?
Is there a bugtracker for SwitchTower? It just made ''current'' point to a directory that was already inside the ''releases'' directory instead of the making ''current'' point to the checkout location the log showed. The directory it made ''current'' point to was left over from when I was doing manual releases. I want to make

Bugtracker to use with Asterisk?
Hello Now that I have my first IVR up and running, I'd like to have Asterisk create tickets in a bug tracker every time a call comes in. It's a nice way to know who's calling and why, before following up on the cause for the call. There are tons of bugtracking apps out there. Do you know of some that I should look at? Ideally, the interface shouldn't be much busier than JoS

Help with the bugtracker
Hi Guys, There are a fair few issues reported at bugs.centos.org around virt issues, Xen / KVM and even VMware stuff. And I know there is a lot of knowledge and talent around those areas here on this list. Just wondering if some of the people here might be able to help with those issues on bugs.c.o - it should not be more than a few hours / week in terms of commitment. Thanks for

CentOS Bugtracker: how to give up on an issue?
Every time I go to http://bugs.centos.org/my_view_page.php I am shown, under "Reported by me", three problems with the CentOS Bacula packages which I reported in 2011, complete with proposed fix, but which never got any love (status still "new"): 0005271 missing dependency mt-st bacula - 2011-11-28 12:44 0005261 make_catalog_backup.pl creates .my.cnf with bad mode bacula -

BugTracker Information - REPOST
All, As a bug marshal, I have noticed quite a few bugs that seem to get overlooked/ignored due to the fact that they do not have the appropriate information in the bug information fields, or bugnotes. I am, therefore, Reposting an old post from July 26th, 2003, to help clarify the use of the Bugtracker. Sorry if you have read it before; this is just an attempt to re-familiarize

Guidelines for CentOS Mailing List posts
Some people don't know how to conduct themselves on usenet and mailing lists. Despite the mailing list guidelines being crystal clear about no html posting and not top-posting we have people still doing so. People still use text-readers to access the mailing list so you could be denying access to these people by flouting the mailing list guidelines. This is an example of top-posting

MP3pro
So it looks like the Frauenhoffer boys are issuing an updated format -- MP3pro. They claim that it will give 128kbps/MP3 quality in 64kbps. I'm interested to see what others think of this. I'm also curious: I've seen others on the list say that Ogg/Vorbis' sound quality is "better" than MP3. Can this be quantified (or is this already on a web page somewhere)? I kinda

umask and mails
Hello. I would like to have rights like 750 in my mailboxes (in /var/mail/vmails/domain.tld/user). http://wiki.dovecot.org/DovecotServerInstallations/RHEL/2_Users?highlight=(mask) I see an option called umask (in dovecot.conf). I set umask = 0750 in dovecot.conf. This option add good rights to directories, but not to the mail received (always in 700). Do you have a solution? Thanks. -- -

You've been officially added to my kill file [1]. The lists are here to get suggestions and assistance with various issues [2]. They are *NOT* your one stop shop for everyone doing your homework [3][4][5][6][7][8][9]. You make it abundantly clear that you're making no effort whatsoever to find answers to the questions you post. And, rather than listen to answers given, or even
