Prompts and sound quality of the X100P card (FXO card)
Hi We are trying to get better sound quality out of the prompts on our Asterisk system. We had some new ones made by thevoice.digium.com and they are in WAV format instead of the default GSM format on the Asterisk server. The problem is, when you dial in to the server using the FXO card (X100P) you really can't tell the difference between the WAV prompt and the GSM prompt, however, if you

Sound Problems using Terratec Phase 26 USB sound card
Hi all. I just installed Ubuntu 8.04 clean and Wine 1.0-rc1. I followed all the directions and i think I've done everything right because i managed to play wow without any problems except one (well moderate fps too but i can config that). The sound doesn't work at all. In the wine config audio devices, I have selected the ALSA drivers but even with OSS it doesn't work. I tried

Console latency
Another bizarry: If I run the Echo application from the console, I can hear a very long delay (upward to 1,000 ms). I can run the same application from a GrandStream phone (on the same LAN) and hear little delay. What could possibly be wrong? If it were interrupt overload, I'd hear lots of cracks in my echo, right? I'm not hearing that. Besides, a telephony card is not involved.

Problems with the FXS module in a TDMxxx card (no sound when receiving a call)
Hi all, I have a brand new TDMxxx card with 3 FXO modules and one FXS. It has replaced my old 3 X100P cards. The FXO part work as before, after some adjustments in the rxgain/txgain part. The problem I have is with the FXS module. I can place calls to SIP/IAX or PSTN destinations without any problems, but the sound received by the other part is much to strong and a little bit distorted. I have

can't get oss console working.
I've been trying to get a console channel working without success. The sound card, which is built into the motherboard, is a VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82C686 AC97 Audio Controller. Using the oss drivers (vi82cxxx_audio) in kernel 2.4.23 and chan_oss, I just get beeps and screeches. Using alsa drivers (snd-via82cxx) and chan_oss (using the alsa oss emulation), playing sound works, but

wine sound freezes system
I was wondering if anything in wine could crash the system? I believe not, but I have this problem since I upgraded to kernel 2.4.3: I am running winamp through wine and usually within one song, the system freezes. At first I suspected my X server (not sure wether AGP is enabled or not) so I ran wine/winamp on my machine and displayed on a windows box using xwin32. I had X locally shut down. The

VERY bad sound on S100U -> X100P calls, and caller id problems ...
Hi folks! I'm using an X100P (connected to my phone line) and an S100U, and when I calls out from the phone connected to the S100U it is a very bad sound quality, it "pops" and "jitters" a lot. But internal calls from for example a SIP client to the phone on the S100U sounds good. Calls from an SIP client to the outside world using the X100P also works good! My second

My linux machine thinks its running windows!!! It crashes... (Problems with my x100p card.)
I have a pIII system with a x100p card. I've installed everything, got it working, no problems. I had a few problems with echo in calls through the X100p card so I read about enabling KFLAGS+=-DAGGRESSIVE_SUPPRESSOR in the zaptel makefile. After I did this I ran *. All I got was two flashing leds on the keyboard (scroll lock and caps lock). Everything else was frozen. So I thought,

USB sound card/ROCKY software/Softrock radio
I'm running a USB sound card (SB0270) as well as built-in audio to interface with my RXTX6.3 softrock radio, and I've been trying to get the Amateur Radio program "Rocky" to run. Rocky installs once you copy it to the C: drive and use the Explorer to start the installer, and it comes up, but you cannot select a sound card and after starting Rocky in Wine (.44), you cannot shut

Problem with DTMF 'looping' / mis-dials (X100P card)
Hi all, I'm having a problem with * being very finicky about the length of DTMF key-presses during menus, voicemail, etc. Basically, short (<100 ms) tones are ignored, anything between 100ms (or so) and about 300ms is correctly detected, and anything >300ms is interpreted as multiple presses of the same key. This is terrible for callers who are trying to get to the correct

X100P no sound problem
Hi, can't get X100P (fully zapata compatible clone) to work (I'm in Australia). * recognises the card and the channel (1) but has definetely some problems talking to the pots line. I set up this simple dialplan for ZAP ("incoming" context, as setup in zapata.conf, for channel 1) [incoming] exten => s,1,Answer exten => s,2,Playback(somefile) exten =>
