Re: zapata with Tiger3XX compilation error
Ok so I read the Linux 2.6 related README and finally
compiled propperly, I thought but at the end I notice
that lscpi does report the cards, but I cant modprobe
wcfxo nor zaptel and I do have wcfxo.ko in the
/lib/modules/2.6.8/extra/ directory, so what gives?
This is a Debian Sarge, thanks!

Another small suggestion patch
It's nice to be able to define the list of asterisk modules we want to
load from the /etc/sysconfig/zaptel file rather than directly in
/etc/init.d/zaptel. I'm using nufone and don't require anything but the
ztdummy (is the rtc-based module better, anyone?), so that's what I've
put here.
These are based on zaptel-1.0-RC1.

Problems with CentOS ztdummy kernel 2.6
Hi List,
I am having some trouble with installing the latest version of ztdummy on a
CentOS Kernel 2.6 system.
I have installed a few Asterisk systems on Slackware Kernel 2.4.x without
any issues, unfortunately there is no choice about this distro, or kernel as
it has been preinstalled by someone else. And so I am in the dark with an
unfamiliar distro and kernel.
I am fairly sure the

'modprobe -d ocfs'
What does 'modprobe -d ocfs' show? If it tells you 'symbols not found' it's
the RPMs incompatible with your kernel version. Ensure you have the correct
RPMs. Successful 'rpm -ivh' doesn't mean correct installation.
Should be:
[root@pc33 root]# modprobe -d ocfs

Beginners help
Hi,
I recently purchased two X100Ps and a TMD40B. I have set everything up
according to the instructions however I can't get asterisk to pick up an
incoming call (It just keeps ringing). Also, when I pick up an internal
extension I get dead air. I searched the mailing list for 3+ hours -- What
am I missing?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Here are the installion steps that I used:

Just looked at your prior mail, and it was using 'usbhid' based on your output. If 'modprobe' exists on your router, what response do you get to 'modprobe usbhid'?

Either it is not loaded, or the usb serial and/or hid drivers are not loaded, which appear to have been used on your Debian box.

Accessing ISDN with avm bluetooth hardware
Hi *,
This is my first message to this list, so I hope I am not breaking any rule with my post.
My question is the following: can I establish a voice connection over an ISDN interface by using a
bluetooth dongle to connect to the ISDN access point?
Here follow the details:
I have compiled and configured asterisk. Everything seems fine except that when I configure
asterisk to use the ISDN

auto 'modprobe wct1xxp' on startup?
Hi guys,
Thanks for your answers on my two questions yesterday. That's exactly
what I was looking for, sorry for not noticing it myself, but I'm still
getting acclimated to Asterisk and even Linux--from what I see so far, I
love it.
I've got another one now. Since my Asterisk install and configuration
is fairly stable at this point, I'm interested it ensuring that during

Does anyone keep a known telemarketer caller id database? If not has anyone
proposed an Asterisk community project to share this information? Sort of a
nation wide blacklist so Asterisk'ers can cut down on the garbage calls...
