Hello people, I am using Asterisk with a handful of Micronet SP5100 IP Phones and a Micronet SP5052 FXO Gateway. So far I have incoming calls ringing all the phones correctly, outgoing calls working, voicemail working and calls between phones working. The only think I cant get working is Transferring of calls, and the ability to put calls on hold. The phones have both a 'Transfer'

Fax with SPA-2000's?
I've been trying to get fax reception to work using an SPA-2000 to ring the fax machine or modem that's taking fax calls. I was curious if anyone else had tried something similar, and if so, had any luck getting it to work reliably. I've been able to get it to work, but it isn't reliable. (Pages/lines of black dots result more frequently than not.) The incoming lines are FXO

Newbie - getting two local phones to communicate would be a good start :)
Hi This is hard work :) I have read the Asterisk Handbook, BudgeTone User Manual, Andy Powell's useful notes, Zac Sprackett's Asterisk Resource Pages and more. I am not a linux newbie but am new to Asterisk. I have failed to find any docs that explain how to get a very very simple, minimal, system up and I am trying to get the following to work: 2 BudgePhone 102D connected on a LAN to a

TDM400P: flash on analog phones doesn't work
Hi, I have a TDM400P (31B) in a PIV 2.8, 512Mb ram, CentOS 4.3, zaptel 1.2.5 and Asterisk 1.2.7.1 and a couple of standard analog phones with a flash button. A hook flash works fine for setting up a 3way call. But pressing the flash button doesn't do anything. The zapata config is below. Anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong? Live real extensions.conf samples?
It would be nice to see a real "extensions.conf" from a live business operation, every extensions.conf I've seen posted or been able to dig up so far would fail bad in a live business operation. I just have the beginings of mine and would like to make sure I don't miss anything. Most extensions.conf files I've seen wouldn't even let you dial "911" in

AMP and Asterisk PSTN extension config
Hi, I have configured an Asterisk server with TDM01P (1FXO) for testing purpose. The interface I'm using is AMP. I want to configure my extension so that when I dial from my mobile phone to the asterisk line, I want it to transfer the call to any extension, say 3042 and after a particular number of rings, transfer the call to voice mail so that I can record my message. My Zaptel.conf is as

Static Puppet Binary
Good Evening I just wanted to ask a question here, is it possible to build a static binary that I could sep to a client machine, and have it do it''s first run to connect to a puppet master? My plan is to use a static binary as a sort of installer for particular systems, as I don''t really want to have to install puppet client on 70 systems by hand! These are all production

Anyway do you think some one can point me to some examples of real config files. Such as IAX, Extensions, and Sip. I just cant grasp the concept for some reason. If someone would like to help me out, maybe even explain one on one? Thanks a lot

digium HW echocancellation - fax tone detection
Hello ! I 'm using a TE405P with a HW echocanceller module attached on it. dahdi version is dahdi-linux-complete-2.2.0.2+2.2.0. As far as I know, the fax tone detection is done on the FW board. How can I verify that the echo canceller has been turned off ? When I do a cat /proc/dahdi/1 for span 1 I see still the VPM450 entry near the channel although this was a fax call with CED tone.

ATA hangs up with fax detection on...
I have a weird problem with a client. I recently upgraded to Asterisk 1.4.22 and Zaptel 1.4.12.1 on their server and now there is a problem when a fax call is received. Basically when faxdetect=incoming is set in zapata.conf the call comes in and the fax extension dials a Linksys PAP2T where a fax machine is connected. The fax answers and almos immediately it hangs up and I get this: --

Fax detection when dialing out
Hi all, I am having a problem detecting a FAX machine on the other end when I dial out a number, even though I hear it playing the 'violin' when it answers. I would like to be able to detect the event of having a FAX answering the call I generate through Asterisk. I am testing on a X100P. I looked in the detect_dtmf() function in dsp.c and even though I see it implements a goertzel
