Cisco 79xx Ringtones
Hi, I'm after two very specific ringtones for the 79xx's... A dog barking, and a horse either galloping or neighing. I've tried making the sounds, but for some bizarre reason they're not working. I used to make quite a few ringtones for the 79xx's, but I seem to have forgotten how to do it! And to top things off, I can't even find the documentation on Cisco's site

Cisco 7970 Won't boot after factory reset
Hi Everyone - I just got my hands on a Cisco 7970 and was told that I should do a factory reset before trying to configure it to work with Asterisk. After the factory reset, it will not boot at all, instead sits with the line button lights flashing one at a time in sequence. I have had no luck trying to figure it out - anyone run into the same problem that can lend a hand..? Thanks

ip phones and intercom/paging
There was a thread a few months ago that tossed around some ideas for using a cisco phone for intercom or paging. I don't have any ip phones, and wondered if anyone had any luck getting intercom or paging to work on the cisco units. Do any of the (cheaper) ip phones have a way to support intercom or paging? I presume that it's not part of the SIP or IAX protocols. Chris.

[Asterisk-Dev] Cisco 7970 SCCP Configs.
Hi All I'm trying to get my 7970 working on the latest head version of Asterisk without success, perhaps someone could help. I'm using the head version of Asterisk with the chan_sccp from berlios.de dated 7th August. The compilation of chan_sccp seems to have worked without any problem, however I'm pretty sure the problem I have is with the config files in TFTPBOOT:- With the 7970

Cisco 7970 with skinny on * 1.4.1
Evnin' (o; As chan_sccp is pretty much dead, doesn't compile on FBSD anyway and isn't supported on * 1.4.x I tried going with chan_skinny... The Cisco 7970 registers and is being acknowledged by * but that's it... I see no lines on the 7970 display configured and it is not reachable or it can't make any outboudn calls... The docs are pretty non-existent for skinny and the

Asterisk SIP phones to Cisco Unity via CCM4.0SIP Trunk
It can be done. 1. Setup a new Vm profile on CCM with a mask of XXXX 2. Setup a CTI route point: a. Set the directory number to a pattern. I use *27XX but any pattern that you can send from * is good, ie. 88XXX b. Set the VM profile to the newly created profile c. Set the line to forward all calls to VM 3. Change the dialplan in * to append the extension called to the

Hi all, I'm writing my graduation theses : analysis VO-IP protocols , and I cannot find any documents about Cisko Skinny Client Control Protocol. optimal control, maximization with several variables?
Dear all, I would like to solve the following problem, which can be done with optimal control theory or dynamic programming: max(x,y) a*u1+b*u2+c*f1(u2) s.t. 0<u1<x, 0<u2<f2(x,u2), x'=f3(u1,u2,x) which can be rewritten if optimal control theory should be applied as H=a*u1+b*u2+c*f1(u2)+lambda*(x') s.t. 0<u1<x, 0<u2<f2(x,u2) The maximum principle
