Re: Open source IP phone, maybe?
Hi!
I think it is a great idea.
The DS80C400 needs external memory, and/or flash. It have the Ethernet
integrated, but it is really slow (it is 8051 architecture), and yes, I
know it can go up ti 75Mhz, but only gives 18MIPS max. I would use
ATmega128 from atmel (16MIPS at only 16Mhz), take a look at:
http://www.ethernut.de (project using mega128 with Ethernet, includes
schematics).

T400P & E400P second source
Since i'm sure there are others out there in the same position as me, being disappointed that the original T400P and E400P cards are no longer available from Digium, I thought I would pass on a place I found to get them. I needed the older card, since I didn't want to have to get a motherboard with 3.3v pci slots on it.

T100P-E100P circuit board differences
Hi-
Perhaps someone with an E100P in hand can answer this:
I just received an E100P from Digium (I normally buy quad boards)
I noticed that the circuit board says "T100P" on it, and I assume that the
T100P and E100P both use the same circuit board.
Can someone please confirm that their E100P says "T100P" on the artwork?
Thanks

Digium X100P vs Dodgy Ebay X100P
Hi
I thought this might be of general interest.
Recently I purchased an X100P from a Digium reseller in the UK. Very
pleased with the card; works perfectly. My friend (known for his deep
pockets and short arms) purchased an X100P card from Ebay. He's had no end
of problems with line noise, dropped called etc so I thought I would compare
the two cards. Plus mine was delivered within two

Quick questions ( maybe a little confidence building too )
Hi all. First thing: I want to thank you all for your help over the
past month as I've been learning asterisk. This is one of the more
helpful lists. Even when I ask questions that have answers in the wiki
( which I missed because I've been over studying ).
Second thing is this: My office is scouting out VoIP solutions, and I
have suggested an asterisk solution. We will be

Odd output from X100P
I'm attempting to configure a machine with a DevKit Lite (X100P &
S100U). After I modprobe wcfxo, the machine goes into some kind
of loop after about 10 seconds, where it spits out what appears to
be 32-bit addresses, ad infinitum. At this point, the machine becomes
completely unresponsive to keyboard input (i.e. Ctrl-C, Ctrl-Alt-Del,
even CapsLock and NumLock states [lights] cannot be

Two E100P boards - could not load zaptel module - Channel 63 - no such device
Hi,
I have two E100P boards connected to my PC. I wish to setup two
E1-ISDN-PRI lines, the first SPAN with 15 channels and the second one
with 30 channels. When I try to load zaptel modules, I get an error message:
"Loading zaptel framework:
Loading zaptel hardware modules: wct1xxp wcusb
Running ztcfg: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 63: No such device"
Follows my zaptel.conf:

drop calls with T100P / PRI
Hi List,
a number of our customers are reporting dropped calls.
here is the config.
1 T100P T1 Card
1 Asterisk (Mid Nov build)
T1 is signalled as a PRI(National)
The card will only sync up if we clock, if
we line side clock the card goes into yellow alarm
and won't sync up.
the only errors we see are framing slips.
Around 2500 slips over a 18 hour period.

* as pri_net?
If you have used * to support a pri as pri_net (as opposed to pri_cpe),
either to talk to another * system or a PBX of some sort, I would be very
interested in hearing about your experiences. Imparticular, I would like
to know that it works before I invest in the extra hardware.

Problems with T100P card not releasing channels.
I don't know what I am missing in my conf files, but my T1 card grabs
all available channels and won't let go of them? Anyone know what the
problem is?

use of Asterisk and T100P as Nortel DSX-1?
Hi all,
I've seen a couple of posts recently from people who are doing
something with Asterisk and a T100P and a Nortel PBX. However it's
not clear exactly what they are doing.
Does anyone know if it's possible to use a T100P or T400P as a DSX-1
interface to connect to a T1/PRI CO module in a Nortel PBX? We have
a Nortel Norstar Modular ICS PBX and I'd like to plug its CO

Re: Open source IP phone, maybe?
I concur with Jose. The Atmel AVR series packs a lot of bang for the buck. They
also come in a 3.3v low power version for use in battery powered systems.

Stir-Shaken clarified
https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/STIR+and+SHAKEN
The Wiki above is misleading in what Stir-Shaken means and how it works.
End users cannot get a certificate, they cannot self-certify their calls.
Somebody completely misunderstood the model. I am afraid the moment will
come and thousands of Asterisk operators will be unable to terminate calls.
To start with, the model is a hierarchical

Can isdn data calls routed through 2 t100p's
I have a pri comming into a t100p in my asterisk box. I have a second t100p configured as pri_net connected to a nas server. I can route modem calls to the NAS with no problem, but I am concerned about isdn data connections.
Will asterisk route 64k isdn calls between 2 t100p's? Also, should I expect worse modem connections than normal?

3.3v PCI board - TE410P photo
Hi-
I have posted a photo of the TE410P Digium card on my site,
so that those wishing to purchase a compatible motherboard
can see physically what the PCI slot requirement is:
http://www.evtmedia.com/TE410P.htm
I believe the required slot is a 64-bit, 3.3 Volt PCI, most
commonly found on Xeon-based motherboards. A 64-bit slot is
longer than the TE410P board requires, but the PCI connector
