Hi,
Does anybody knows how to get this work?
I have been searching all over and can?t find the way.
Using chan_sccp tge phone can log in and has line tone. But the problem is that it is not able to receive nor dial out.
Any help would be apprecieted.

chan_skinny and firmware upgrade
Hello all,
I am trying to upgrade the firmware on my cisco 7910 without using CCM. I was told that
chan skinny is possibly capable of doing that and would like to make
sure.
I have P00405000600 firmware which I have put in version in
skinny.conf. the phone basiclaly stops at verifying load. tcpdump
shows nothing happening apart from small amount of traffic to port
2000 (skinny).
Does anyone

all the steps , but my Cisco 12SP+ remains unregistered.

Skinny
At the present time you have to have a VALID ip address in bindaddr for
Skinny to work. If bindaddr is either 0.0.0.0 or simply commented out
all packets requiring the IP address contain 127.0.0.1. I forgot their
nick, but someone in IRC recommended we make Asterisk be smart enough
not to pick that interface, but I'm not sure of that is the problem or
not. I simply have not had the

Newbie 2 PBX VOIP, protocol ?'s using Cisco 827 7910
I am replacing a dead pbx with *. There are four lines I will be using.
There is a Cisco 827-4v already in place so I will move the lines from
the pbx to it.
I am working with Cisco 7910 phones and I understand they use the
Skinny/SCCP protocol. I am not sure if I should use chan_skinny or
chan_sccp?
However my main question is with communication. Do I need to use the
same protocol between the

chan_skinny & XML Files for 7920
Hi,
I have a Cisco 7920 that I'm trying to get working with my * box. When the
phone boots it requests XMLDefault.cnf.xml and SEP<MACADDRESSHERE>.cnf. I
assume I set the line number, etc in the latter of the two. However I
cannot find any reference to how this file is structured. Anyone know?
I assume this is why I'm getting the errors below:

chan_skinny issue
Hey all, I have set up my cisco 30vip using chan_skinny because
chan_sccp wont register. The problem I am having is, everytime a call
is sent to the phone Skinny/200@jason it rings once, then asterisk
segfaults.
heres the output

chan_skinny core dump
Hi all:
I've got some core dumps with chan_skinny. The client is ATA186 with v2.16.1.ms ata18x (Build 030814a). The * version is CVS-10/05/03-16:03:26.
When I make a call, the phone connected with ATA rings only 1 time and * dies. Maybe I have some errores in ATA config. If someone has proven configs for ATA, please send me the details.
Thanks in advance,
Gus

Unable to get our IP address, Skinny disabled
Hello.
I have just installed Asterisk on my HP DL140 Fedora Core 1 Server. The server has two interface cards active. I have been unable to fix this error although all DNS lookup works fine.
my /etc/host.conf contains
order bind,hosts
/etc/hosts contains

20050713 ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/chan-sccp/chan_sccp-20050713.tar.bz2
I didn't have a spare 7960 to use this week, so maybe some line issue is
still present.
- fixed a memory leak on database updates (dnd, cfwd*)
- fixed old memory leak on unload (now unload chan_sccp.so and load
chan_sccp.so work. It does reload the config when asterisk is running)

Skinny + XMLDefault
Please forgive me my ignorance ...
I've spent two days trying to find out something about the format of the
default configuration file, which CCM produces. The only example I have so
far is the one from the chan_sccp source.
There were tons of references on entering the callmanager commands on a
cisco command line - which I don't have (don't need thanks to
chan_skinny + chan_sccp).

Asterisk and Citrix
I have recently played with and did get a working copy of Asterisk functioning in the lab environment.
Then when I moved it out of the lab and onto the outside of our firewall it functions as before except that I get a

Cisco 7960 Skinny calling SIP phone
Before I got down the path of converting a Cisco 7960 I have over to SIP I
wanted to try and set it up using Skinny.
The phone registers ok with Asterisk. When I call a SIP softphone extension
on my network the call is made and I can answering it. However no voice is
heard over the call.
When I debug Skinny on the console after the call has connected I see the
following messag:

I got it (was: Cisco 7940 with asterisk)
Hi again,
I found chan_skinny and that seems to work pretty good. the SCCP one
filled out all the buttons really nice, but skinny seems to be
working.
How do I fill out the second line button on the phone with skinny.conf?
Thanks much!

Cisco 7961 + 7914, speeddials, BLF & Asterisk 1.4?
Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with a Cisco 7961 + 7914 Operator
Console setup and speeddials/BLF on Asterisk 1.4? Would appreciate
feedback if this works reliably. I have a 7961 on skinny registering on
an 1.4.19 box with chan_sccp and speeddials work fine so that part seems
ok. I have no experience with the BLF part.

Cisco CallManager Image for 7940/7960
Does anyone have the .bin file(s) to convert a Cisco 7940/7960 back to the CallManager image?
I want to start playing around with the chan_skinny addition, but it seems the .exe's from cisco want to open a connection to a SQL server or CallManager (which I don't have).

Cisco IP Phones and Skinny in asterisk 1.8.4.2 "tooooooooooooooooo"
Hi All;
Again, the Cisco IP Phones 7942G and using Skinny:
I upgraded the firmware to version 8.5 (skinny) and I am using skinny channel (chan_skinny) and the skinny.conf file.
The phones are registering, but when we use them to place a call, we only hear tooooooooooo in the handset and we do not hear voice (even when we dial the digits, we only hear toooooooo .. but it dials and destination
