I've lost control of Gnome
I tried out KDE for a while, but eventually found that it was not to
my liking. I've switched back to Gnome, but it seems to me that options
I used to have in the panel aren't available anymore. I'm not totally
sure, but isn't there supposed to be some sort of Gnome (Nautilus?)
control center? A place where I can adjust the themes, screen savers,
and that sort of thing?

I'm looking for any easy way to make gnome a little more like KDE so my
KDE apps look nice under gnome. I also want some extra gnome themes.
Does anyone have any links on how-tos, or any ideas on where to start?

Are these steps for re-installing Gnome correct/safe?
My desktop environment has become a little chaotic, and, long story
short, I would like to uninstall KDE and Gnome, and then reinstall
Gnome. (I want to remove KDE for the time being because I just don't
think I want it taking up space on my hard drive).
The thing is, I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. For
instance, I want to make sure I don't lose settings in

more than one repo with --disablerepo
What's the correct syntax for something like the following:
yum check-update --disablerepo=dag ivazquez Extras Misc
this runs "dead" and doesn't do a check-update. Use kommas? Something
else? man just tells to use glob exp, but what about multiple repo's?

Gnome's profiles tool?
Hi all,
I'm looking for a tool to create and manage the users' profiles in GNOME
desktop environment.
I've searched Pessulus (included in GNOME admin tools by default according
GNOME docs) whitout success.
I've tried to compile Sabayon (the CentOS rpm is not avaiable I think) but
there are a lot of dependencies to resolve.
?Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

CentOS 4.2 Mouse Tracking Unstable
Just installed CentOS 4.2 on a system that was running RedHat-9.
The system is connected to the keyboard, video and mouse through a Belkin
OmniView Pro KVM switch.
After bootup, the the system tracks movement by the mouse just fine.
The unstable behavior can be characterized as follows:
1. Console is switched to a different system for a time and then switched
back to the Centos system.

Aquamacs Preferences not showing, windows inaccessible, Scrolling not possible !!!
Hi, sorry for bothering, but I suspect the start of M-x R within
Aquamacs is causing my problems:
*Scrolling* is *not possible*, neither by key stroke nor by mouse.
Aquamacs does not show all windows. 'Prefences', 'About A.', 'Check fo
updates' will not open. Menu 'windows' shows several windows, but
clicking on them will not open their buffers. Also,

1.0.beta5 released
Just two changes:
- Beta4's SSL proxying rewrite worked worse than I thought.
Reverted it back to original code.
- Filesystem quota plugin now looks up the mount path correctly.
