Problems with two B channels
Hello all, I'm trying to get CAPI to work with two B channels (AVM B1 PCMCIA) on a P4 2GHz (linux kernel 2.4.21) system. All are ok with just one B channel. But when I open a second B chan, the sound is choppy, with too long gaps, and the CPU load is too high (~50%). On the Asterisk's console I get these messages: -- Executing Dial("H323:4478",

* & ISDN-BRI-PTP & DID & ISDN4Linux does not show incoming number
Hi, I am using Asterisk on a DSS1 ISDN-BRI with ISDN4Linux (and a Fritz Card PnP). The ISDN-BRI is in PTP-Mode (Point to Point "german: Anlagenanschluss") which is enabled within I4L with "hisaxctrl fcpcipnp0 7 1". Everything works fine except that I can not see the called number/MSN of incoming calls within Asterisk and because of this I can not route incoming calls

Problems with chan-capi
Hi, i have a debian-system with the asterisk 1:0.9-1 packages and chan-capi 0.3.1-2 installed. My chan-capi seems to be out-of-order. Capi and I4l work in general. I can use isdnlog and capi4hylafax. Using chan_modem_i4l with the sam context work fine too. But no incoming calls are answered by asterisk over chan-capi. If have 2 isdn-card: a passive avm a1 (i4l/hisax) and a active avm b1

i4l --> capi move - how?
I have * with i4l installed and working - on a dumb eicon card. It seems in order to get DTMF out of the BRI (for business banking - etc) - I should change from i4l drivers to capi drivers. wiki help seems to be for the Fritz card only...??? I have ticked the suggested boxes in 'menuconfig', explored the capi4linux websites - etc... but am missing some magic. I've "modprobe

Which ISDM BRI Card for Asterisk?
Hello all, I wonder to have some feedback on using ISDN BRI Cards with Asterisk and the Echo problem. I have tried a simple BRI card with i4l driver and encounter huge echo problem. I have tried to solve it with a Sw chocanceller without success. What I'd like to know is wether some of you have used other BRI Cards (I have seen reference to Eicon cards on this list) and if the echo

Busy message on ISDN cards?
Hi all, I'm new to asterisk and not too knowledgeable on ISDN, so please be gentle :) I have a dual-channel Eicon Diehl Diva card in a Debian Woody box with kernel 2.4.27, connecting to a Telstra (Australia) Onramp Home Highway ISDN line. I'm pretty certain the card and line both work since they've been used in this machine for PPP before this (but with an older kernel with DoV

Problem with outgoing spool...
Hi all, i 've written a little Callgen script for generating calls through the outgoing spool directory. The calls goes over 8 ttyI devices to another pbx and come in through other 8 ttyI devices. But when i generate the calls, sometimes * register the calls but never initiate them. Especially when the files come to fast into the outgoing dir. What can be wrong ? Is it possible that the

ISDN problem: lacking dialtone
Hi all, this is a rather "newbie-oriented" question, so please bear with me... The system running Asterisk has been provided with an AVM FRITZ!Card PnP. SuSE Linux 9.0 recognizes it right after booting the system and it seems to be configured (MSN) correctly... The hwinfo looks like this: --- pbx:/etc/asterisk # hwinfo --isapnp 11: ISA(PnP) 01.0: 10300 ISDN Adapter [Created at

ISDN Dialout
Hi, I am having some trouble with ISDN Dialout. Using a Netjet-s PCI Card. When in Minicom, the only way I can dialout is if i issue ATS18=1 First. Otherwise I get a BUSY message. So thats fine. But when I dialout from asterisk, I get an immediate hangup, so my guess is that asterisk is not issuing ATS18=1 to the ttyI device. Here are my configs, any input would be greatly appriciated.

CAPI not installed, after changed from i4l to CAPI
I had unexpected hangups from my asterix box using the i4l driver. (SIP <-> SIP calls worked execellent, but SIP<->ISDN didn't.) Then I changed the i4l driver in modem.conf with the chan_capi from jungham. (http://www.junghanns.net/asterisk) I followed his instructions in the INSTALL file, and first encountered some errors compiling it. It help by deinstalling several

ISDN debugging and SIP dial-in issue
Hi, my setup is quite simple: an asterix CVS of 2003-11-15 on a 2.4.21-debian-5 GNU/Linux box in an internal network (192.168.1.0/24, asterisk is 192.168.1.10). - with a SIP phone configured as 192.168.1.190, and with its SIP server being 192.168.1.190 - with an ISDN AVM c4 i4l card on an ISDN connection with 2 channels. ISDN BRI hardware
Hi, Anybody have lots of experience with PCI ISDN cards and Asterisk? I'm thinking of getting a BRI in my house to deliver more advanced signaling to my PBX (yes, I'm a geek :-)) but I've never played with isdn4linux. Is there any particular BRI card that works better with Asterisk than any other? Also, can the BRI interface cards participate in conference, etc., since they

Using asterisk with ISDN - How to configure
Hello, first of all I have to say: I read the handbook but there are some questions left I couldn't answer. It's very basicaly. Sorry about that. I have a AVM B1 PCI - Card. I think there is a I4L and a Capi-Port installed. 1. How can I define the right channels, how are they defined. I found the modem.conf example with an ISDN section but how can I make asterisk load it? 2. Do I

Mandrake & CAPI
All, I have been trying to get CAPI4Linux working on my machine and being frank am failing miserably! I am looking for any help available, I am real newbie (so please be gentle) and choose to run Mandrake 9.2 as it appears quite friendly (or so I thought!). I have been following the guidance found at http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+How+to+connect+with+CAPI for the AVM card (actually I

AVM Fritz/Capi without suse ?
Hi All, Has anyone had success with using the AVM Fritz PCI ISDN Card (v2) CAPI drivers with a distro other than suse? The AVM driver is geared towards suse, and after trying them with RedHat 9 I've not got very far. The module compiles but dies when I attempt to modprobe it. I've googled until I almost lost the will to live! What little information I can find seems to refer back to
