Not sure if this was the last email on this.? If not ignore me. However I found a post for new operating systems that says to set the watchdog_thresh value instead of softlockup_thresh.? http://askubuntu.com/questions/592412/why-is-there-no-proc-sys-kernel-softlockup-thresh this is an Ubuntu post, but on my CentOS 7 system this parameter exists, and softlockup_thresh does not.??I have set it but

An Issue concerning FS2004
Hi! I've just installed FS2004. I am using version 0.9.54, as recommended in the AppDB. My Linux OS Is Debian Etch(4.0) With a fully capable processor(Games of such category run perfectly on Windows). Followed the instructions: Installed via the "WINXP" Mode, then switched to Windows 98. Here's the problem: The Splash screen is showing, then it disappears and these are the errors

Delaying systemd reboot for a while
Hi, I'm in need of rebooting a server 1 minute after I give the command. I'm used to shutdown -r +1 which works as advertised. Now that shutdown is part of systemd <http://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/shutdown.html> and it is actually a link to it in CentOS 7, I've seen in the documentation

Memory leak in asterisk CVS
Hi, My Asterisk CVS is apparently not doing much (other than keeping SIP & IAX2 registrations alive and doing some ZAP calls (without echo-cancellation), but slowly the memory is filling up, so much so that 100m virtual memory is used up within 12 hours and I have to restart the asterisk application every 48 hours to make sure I have enough memory... How can I help resolve this problem?

Hi! I just upgraded a machine to 7.7.1908 and the default route is not being set on boot. This particular server has a bonded interface, and the corresponding configuration for the master is ( /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-bond0): TYPE=Bond BOOTPROTO=none DEFROUTE=yes IPV4_FAILURE_FATAL=yes NAME=bond0 DEVICE=bond0 ONBOOT=yes IPADDR=10.3.20.131 PREFIX=24

Systemd
So I've built my first CentOS 7 host and am learning all the new ways of doing things. I setup and enabled ntpd but after a reboot I get: $ systemctl status ntpd ntpd.service - Network Time Service Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/ntpd.service; enabled) Active: inactive (dead) After issuing: $ systemctl start ntpd Ntpd runs just fine. But why isn't it loading at boot

Gnu sieve vs Dovecot sieve-filter - sieve-filter extremely slow at lda (writing emails to local mbox files)
I am wondering why sieve-filter is so slow compared to gnu sieve. I run mpop (like getmail) to download from a pop3 server to a local mbox file: ~/mail/email-incoming-unsorted This step is very fast. The next step, I throw the email-incoming-unsorted mbox file at a sieve processor, to sort the emails from that mbox, into other mboxes, according to the sieve rules file. Up until a couple days

BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 36s! [swapper/0:0]
This bug is reported only on the VM's with CentOS 7 running on on VMware ESXi 5.1. The vSphere performance graph shows high CPU consume and disk activity only on VM's with CentOS 7. Sometimes I can not connect remotely with ssh (timeout error). The details of last issues was reported to retrace.fedoraproject.org. ?Do you have a hint? [root at vmguest ~]# abrt-cli list id
