Asterisk against 3 Com NBX 100 and Siemens HiPath 3700/3750
My new company is going to enter a bid competing with 3Com and Siemens solutions from others. Voice service is a PRI T-1 with a block of 100 DID numbers, a second T1 that will carry Integrated voice/data, 12 voice/768K for redundency. I asked this a week or two ago, now I have more details. Best/$ channel banks that work with Asterisk and Best deal on phones... 16 business, 34 basic IP

The Phantom Call.. T1 card too
I've had the same thing happen, only on the single port T1 card and a channel bank, and one of the FXO channels also having a phone attached elsewhere... I just wound up putting that channel in a different context and running Exten => s,1,Hangup (I'm just using the line for outbound dialing) -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com

Fix for Redhat 9 zombie AGI processes
Hi all- Thanks to Mark Spencer for finding this patch: If you are experiencing leftover zombie processes from your AGI scripts that have terminated, this is apparently due to a RedHat 9 threading issue introduced in a recent update.... To get rid of this, try entering the following line before you start asterisk: export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 It works for me - I'm still checking to

The Phantom Call..
My system seems to be generating a call on its own... Unfortuately I can't give much more information.. I have an X100P and an S100U.. My Modem and the X100P share a common line.. When I am on the internet (which is most of the day) * just sits there and does nothing (apart from when I am testing ideas for the dial plan), but at night when I am sleeping and the modem is not connected then

X100P & T100P knock-off boards
Do they fall under FCC certification if they're built to the same specifications as the ones from Digium? If I build my own T100Ps from the schematics and board layouts that are available, are they legal to plug into the PSTN?

My company is looking at installing a new phone system/PBX in our new location and I am trying to convince them to go with the Asterisk PBX. I see on http://www.asterisk.org/index.php?menu=features <http://www.asterisk.org/index.php?menu=features> what features are available but my biggest problem right

Quick questions ( maybe a little confidence building too )
Hi all. First thing: I want to thank you all for your help over the past month as I've been learning asterisk. This is one of the more helpful lists. Even when I ask questions that have answers in the wiki ( which I missed because I've been over studying ). Second thing is this: My office is scouting out VoIP solutions, and I have suggested an asterisk solution. We will be

Can isdn data calls routed through 2 t100p's
I have a pri comming into a t100p in my asterisk box. I have a second t100p configured as pri_net connected to a nas server. I can route modem calls to the NAS with no problem, but I am concerned about isdn data connections. Will asterisk route 64k isdn calls between 2 t100p's? Also, should I expect worse modem connections than normal? Chad Sawyer -------------- next part --------------

Planning Asterisk
Hello, I'm planning to convert my phone system to Asterisk, as I've outgrown my TalkSwitch system. I have a few questions for experienced * users, most of which can be answered yes/no. Current Setup: - Talkswitch 48NLS (4CO/8Ext) phone system. - One CO line, two Vonage lines, one Voicepulse line connected to phone system - A third Vonage line directly connected to a fax machine - A

* as pri_net?
If you have used * to support a pri as pri_net (as opposed to pri_cpe), either to talk to another * system or a PBX of some sort, I would be very interested in hearing about your experiences. Imparticular, I would like to know that it works before I invest in the extra hardware. TIA Bruce Komito High Sierra Networks, Inc. www.servers-r-us.com (775) 284-5800 ext 115

Fw: a bit frightened, guys
Hi, I believe the issues raised by this message are the same as mine, more on a commercial sense than for self use, but mostly the same. I've seen posts where real-life installations are mentioned, but not a reference to how Asterisk is working on production (and productive) environments. Any experiences would be very welcome I believe, not only on pure technical, but wider, sense. Thanks
