IVR dictionary dial-plan
Does anyone know of an (E)AGI or program to develop a IVR dial-plan
which will take a list of words and then do something when a unique
branch has been found.
i.e.
Say there's 3 words
demon
deacon
bishop
On a phone they'd be represented as
33666
332266
247467
So if the user enters "2" we know they want bishop
if they enter "336" they want demon and "332"

Caller id and the number of rings
Hi all,
I have the following setup
PSTN -> ASTERISK -> IVR (using dialogic card)
1) Caller id information is presented to asterisk during the first and
second ring.
2) Hence, Asterisk waits for 2 rings before pickup the call and forwarding
to the appropriate FXS port.
3) The IVR application also waits for 2 rings before picking up the call to
get the caller id.
4) Hence any caller

IVR: playing multiple streams simultaneously?
Hi all,
I'm setting up an IVR using Asterisk.
Is there a way to have two streams played to the caller at the same
time: for instance, one constant flow of background music, and the IVR
contents at the same time? I've looked for solutions using (E)AGI and
other things but nothing seems to work. Googling around and reading the
list has not been helpful either...
Thanks for your help,

IVR sample config?
Can someone point me to some reasonable example / starting point to implement
a basic IVR menu? Looking for something rather simple like the press 1 for
sales, 2 for tech support, and probably an option to list the voicemail
directory kind of thing. Nothing elaborate needed, just basic menu.
(Yes, I did look at the wiki and google searched for "ivr menu".)

Testing IVR / Callcenter applications
Hello
We are developing an application to be deployed on E1 lines (inbound and
outbound calls)
What is the best way to fully test the application if we do not have E1
lines in the development environment?
Is there some kind of software tester to test IVR/Callcenter
applications virtually??
thanks and best regards

Case studies for 120 simultaneous calls on IVR
Hi,
We?re going to build an IVR system with a TE405P and 4 E1. We?re sure that
the 120 channels will be filled by 120 simultaneous calls during peak, so we
want to have the good server to manage this.
We wonder a lot of things and maybe you could help us.
- Are you ever build a similar system ?
- What hardware is the most adapted for this type of use ?
- What is the most important ?

Suitable for Dynamic IVR Platform?
New to asterisk so please be gentle. I'm guessing I'm among a number of
recent additions to the list after the article in Linux Mag. I gotta say
I'm *very* intersted in the project and will be doing lots of reading
shortly. A couble quick questions first...
How suitable is Asterisk for use as an IVR providing callers with textual
data out of a database? Can it be combined easily

Stress Testing IVR
Hi,
How can I stress test an asterisk IVR? I am looking for some kind of
sip phone which can be "programmed" to send out digits after specified
time to simulate users pressing menu items. If it can originate large
number of calls simultaneously then it's great!
Does any one have any recommendations ? Any other method to stress
test an IVR call flow?
with regards,

Hello all:
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
Background:

I have been tasked with helping to set up a system that will only handle IVR (eg no PBX functions) incomming calls for 45 or so people that will call in 3 or 4 time each day during (approx) normal business hours. We have started to look at the Ivrs perl module from

change languages from an IVR
A customer of mine wants an IVR where the first 3 choices are
1 English
2 Spanish
3 French
I can build the IVR but how do I get the system prompts to then speak
the selected langauge. For example, a caller has selected Spanish and so
is routed to the Spanish part of the IVR. At some point he breaks out of
the IVR to leave a VM. How does the system know to continue offering him
Spanish?

Astersk as AVAYA IVR
I'm thinking about using asterisk as an IVR system with an existing avaya index system.
I've got 2x PRI 30 lines coming in to the Index, and I have 4 spare PRI cards in the Index. I was thinking about using a QUAD PRI card from Digium and having the calls come into the Index then transfer to Asterisk for IVR then back to the Index. That way if we get 60 inbound calls we'd in

ACD/IVR dialogs/SIP/client environment
Ok I have tried to post to this list server but have just gotten the
automated reply saying the moderator has to approve it to the list first
which was my mistake for sending from the wrong email account.
So if the moderator finally approves my questions and you see the same

Remote control IVR
Hi
I work at a small company that has some IVR solutions that use Dialogic
hardware for everything.
Everything is written in C++ using MS VC++ using the Dialogic API and runs
only on Windows.
Being the rebel that I am, I would like free myself from Dialogic.
To do this without porting all our existing code to run on Linux I was
thinking of controlling the Asterisk from a Windows machine running

IVR Questions?
I'm fairly new to Asterisk, but I've been searching the archives
extensively and haven't seen much information on using IVR for more than
menus. I'd like to prompt a caller to enter his ID (employee, customer,
account, etc). The business use I have in mind requires a five-digit ID.
Then I need to be able to capture the ID entered, validate it (probably
by playing it back with
