Speex SIP support in the "Asterisk" PBX, FYI
FYI, the Asterisk software PBX <http://www.asterisk.org/> has now incorporated my recent patches to support dynamic RTP payload types. As a consequence, its SIP implementation now supports Speex, so if you have a Speex-compatible SIP client, you can use it to make calls using Asterisk. Some caveats: - Only narrowband (8 kHz) Speex is currently supported; not wideband. (Unfortunately,

Streaming channels from Asterisk to the Internet
Hi folks, I'm wondering if it is currently possible to configure Asterisk to forward the conversations from 2 channels into a streaming daemon, such as Icecast, so that other people connected to the Internet can listen. The concept is similar to a radio talk-show. The show host would connect to Asterisk via an X100P or through VOIP. His or her voice would then be sent to the streaming

Denon AVR-5308CI with FLAC decoding!
I just read on Gizmodo that the new Denon AVR-5308CI will include FLAC decoding! According to the text, it supports "USB inputs for bus-powered HDD, along with AAC, FLAC, WMA Lossless, MP3 and WAV decoding" Very happy to see FLAC being supported by a big name like Denon! Josh (or anyone else), curious if you know to what extent the support is offered or if you have any further

Voicemail hangups/minimum message size
I looked in voicemail.conf and apps/app_voicemail.c (briefly), and did not see the answer to this question. We get a lot of voicemail hangups. ALL of them get recorded, and sent to users as new messages, usually about 0:02 long. Is there a way to set a MINIMUM message length, and if the message is under this length -- do not save it? This is the way we solved the problem on our old legacy

If so, would you be willing to shoot me a note with your current configs? Help me, Nouveau list, you're my only hope...
I hope I'm writing to people who can help me. If not you, then I have a serious inconvenience and am going to be at a complete loss for where to turn. Let me explain my setup. I have an HTPC with a GeForce GT620. It is connected to a Denon AVR-1913 via HDMI, because that does all the switching for my entertainment system then out to an LG flat-panel 55-inch TV via HDMI. Is there any way to mask or hide the INBOX label for Dovecot 1.2.x Shared Mailboxes?
Hello, I'm setting up a new Dovecot sever to replace an old Cyrus server, and need to keep things as consistent as possible. I have a couple local accounts, like junkmail and notjunkmail that users get shared access to, and can drop things in to train sa-update. However, when users share over junkmail's inbox, it's displayed in the hierarchy: ? Other Users ? junkmail ? INBOX
