freeze_gems to upgrade and SVN
Hi all-
I just decided to move from my 1.1.0 to 1.1.2. I had previously frozen
to 1.1.0 and therefore had all of rails in SVN in my vendor directory.
When I finally got rake freeze_gems to work, it blasted (rm -rf) my
vendor/rails directory and put a new one in there. This also blasted
all my .svn directories.
Is there some convenient way to do a freeze upgrade and play well with
SVN?

LOL - You mean he actually 'met' Newt Gingrich? How dare you not extend

I mean seriously... For such a distinguished individual...
Hey, not only have I met the heads of several multi-billion dollar

So I should get credit, a 40% discount, and your daughters phone number,
right??? LOL
Seriously, though. I think it

[LLVMdev] keeping instructions in order and hidden dependencies
I have some pseudos that I am expanding in the Mips 16 port. Currently
they are blasted in one chunk as a multi line instruction sequence but I
am changing the code now to expand them
after register allocation.
They are essentially macros and I need to make sure, at this time at
least, that the individual instructions are not reordered or moved around.
There are dependencies sometimes between

problem with AuthorizedKeysCommand on OpenBSD
Hi,
I'm attempting to test the AuthorizedKeysCommand feature with the new
port of ssh-ldap-wrapper to OpenBSD. I'm running yesterday's
OpenBSD-current i386 snapshot, which includes AuthorizedKeysCommand.
The port of ssh-ldap-helper (at
http://old.nabble.com/-new--ssh-ldap-helper-td34667413.html) contains
all the bits I need, and the individual pieces appear to work once

[LLVMdev] keeping instructions in order and hidden dependencies
Some of my pseudos do conditional branch .+4 and such.
I don't want the instruction scheduler to get creative on me.

Continuance on Polycom issue, not ringing
Ok, so I emailed the list earlier about my polycom phone not ringing
when anyone called in. Well, polycom support said that is impossible
that this could happen because of a change in a configuration file.
However the new phone arrived today (a refurb.) and it also would not
ring. So I obviously got rather frustrated and blasted away all of my
configuration files from the FTP server. I then copied

I think our routine workflow suffers quite a bit from the svn
emphasis. Sending text patches is all very well from a portability

One-to-one matching?
Hi folks,
Can anyone suggest an efficient way to do "matching without
replacement", or "one-to-one matching"? pmatch() doesn't quite provide
what I need...
For example,
lookupTable <- c("a","b","c","d","e","f")
matchSample <- c("a","a","b","d")
##Normal match()

OpenSSH 2.1.0 does not compile without RSA support
I was very excited when I saw the announcement that openssh now supports
the ssh2 protocol. The problem I have run into is that openssh v. 2.1.0
will not compile unless rsa is supported by openssl. Because I wish to
use openssh in a commercial environment in the USA, I built openssl with
no support for rsa, rc5, or idea (thus ensuring that I do not encroach on
anyone's blasted patents).

Install from a USB CDrom?
OK, this is getting ridiculous.
A relatively new HP NC4010 (1 year old). A maybe not the newest
Storix USB CD/R-DVD drive.
Of course the HP has no problem booting up off the CDrom. But then I
get that blasted dialog of where are my install.
So I go through the list and find a USB storage driver.
It doesn't help.
I do have a USB 2.5" drive case that I can put a drive in with the

Samba Domain Emu
Hi
I have read that Samba can emulate an NT Domain. Is this still possible?
I dont see much about it listed anymore. Is it still supported in
2.2.8a. Does anyone have any information concerning this? We would like
our version to do this so we can do some testing with one of our NetApp
880's.

[Fwd: Re: Need Samba 3.0.0 help] More info...
Well folks this is getting irritating.
When we map our Solaris Home directory to a network drive on the NT side of
life then attempt to "make a new folder"
it actually does make the new folder in the home directory, but it just hangs
up on the Windows side.
Any ideas why we don't get a return response?
Another thing is that if we select a ".txt" file to view, the log files
