[agc@NetBSD.org: CVS commit: src/crypto/external/bsd/openssh/dist]
Hi,
I applied the following minor diff to preserve the value of the extern
variable across calls to process_sign_request2() in ssh-agent.c.
I've no idea if the attachment of the attachment will come out
correctly so a cvs diff is also attached.
Regards,
Alistair

OpenSSH (CVS) performance observations
Hi!
I have experimented a bit with the latest OpenSSH from the CVS archive.
I could realize some connections succesfully, but I experienced performance
problem during the connection phase.
It seems, that the client needs quite some computer time just after
debug: Got SSH2_MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_GROUP.
By inserting test-printouts, I verifyed that the dh_gen_key(dh); call
seems to take that long. On a HP

48-hour incompatibility window in OpenSSH CVS Repository
If you have been updating OpenSSH within the last 48 hours from the
CVS repository, you need to re-update the software again.
Changes to the Diffie-Hellman group exchange that accomodate problems
vendors like Van Dyke have seen were incomplete. The current CVS
repository has the fixed version.
Sorry,
Niels.

OpenSSH and CVS
With the CVS server in a DMZ. Using OpenSSH on the server and the JRcraft
client plugin.
What ports need to be allowed for proper operation?
How do you prevent non- secure pserver access to the cvs server?
Thanks

OpenSSH-3.0p1-pre-CVS: configure.ac checks for login in -lutil and -lbsd?
OpenSSH-3.0p1-pre, from CVS as of about 2001-10-30 23:45 UTC.
Any particular reason why configure is checking for login() in -lutil,
finds it, then checks for it again in -lbsd?
Here's the relevant excerpts (Red Hat Linux 6.2, , kernel-2.2.19,
glibc-2.1.3, egcs-1.1.2, autoconf-2.52):
$ CFLAGS='-O2 -mpentium -Wall'; export CFLAGS

Portable OpenSSH CVS install error
Hi,
I did a CVS checkout this morning to patch sftp.c for Jon Grant's
recent sftp request, but there seems to be an install problem on
Mac OS X 10.5.6 possibly caused by recent changes to configure.ac.
For example (most output pruned):
% ident configure.ac
configure.ac:
$Id: configure.ac,v 1.419 2009/03/18 18:25:02 tim Exp $
$Revision: 1.419 $
% autoreconf
% ./configure
% make

Problems accessing CVS repository
Hi,
I have persistent problems to access the OpenSSH CVS repository as
anonymous user, once it has been checked out:
$ cvs -d anoncvs at anoncvs.mindrot.org:/cvs co openssh
[...works fine...]
$ cd openssh
$ cvs up
cannot create_adm_p /tmp/cvs-serv5471/contrib
Permission denied
The same happens when trying to use the second repository:
$ cvs -d anoncvs at

Kerberos / PAM bug in OpenSSH CVS
In do_authloop() in auth1.c(), the Kerberos 4 and 5 code both allocate, then
xfree() the client_user string. The call to do_pam_account() later in the
function then tries to use this string, resulting in a corrupt remote user.
Finally, before exiting, the function frees client_user again, resulting in a
double free and much mess.
Patch attached.
Cheers,
Simon.

CVS server not responding
Hi,
the anonymous CVS server for portable OpenSSH does not want to talk to
me:
> % cvs upd -Pd
> cvs [update aborted]: connect to bass.directhit.com:2401 failed: Connection refused
Looking at http://www.openssh.com/portable.html,
":pserver:cvs at bass.directhit.com:/cvs" is still the recommended
repository.
Is this a known problem?

openssh-5.3p1-123.el6_9.x86_64.rpm for CESA-2017:2563 not available in mirror.centos.org centos6 repo
Thanks for the quick and helpful replies. Also, thank you for pointing out that I should have been looking in updates, not os. That makes perfect sense, but I got hung up on the fact that it was missing from os. Anyway, that led to me discovering that on one of my internal mirrors the updates repo hadn?t synced in a couple months, which was ultimately the cause for the missing package in that
