Error when allocating PTY
hi everybody,
I'm working on an boot image and actually try to get an ssh server working on clients, booting that
image over the net. I want to authenticate with my public key on the client, which seems to work fine.
The only problem I have is that the sshd couldn't open an console. I've allready tested some things,
but didn't fix it, yet. in den dev directory all tty's and

Fedora 25 Samba and XP-SP3
Yes, I know, XP-SP3 is very old. It works for what I need it for. I have
some programs that will never be updated for Win 7.
Note that XP-SP3 and Fedora 14 work together just fine, so I'm guessing that
a newer version of Samba is what is keeping me from logging in from XP.
But, I do not know what to put in the smb.conf file to allow XP to mount
a share.
Here is the output from testparm:

A rebel boxplot question
Dear R list members
I am trying to improve a boxplot with 2 data sets. I run somethinkg like
boxplot(data1 ~ month, add=F, col = "red", ...)
boxplot(data2 ~ month, add=T, col = "blue", ...)
The problem is that the data from February are missing for data2, so R
think that must take little more space between the data classes in data 2
and then both data gropus are not aligned.

PTY allocation without being root
Hello everyone,
Some of you might already know what I've been doing lately, but I'd
better introduce myself properly: since February this year I've been
working on redesigning the TTY layer for the FreeBSD operating system. I
hope to get my work integrated next month (the 10th of August). The new
TTY layer will have some minor improvements with respect to performance,
but one of the

LMTP proxying
How exactly is LMTP proxying supposed to work?
According to the example on
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/PasswordDatabase/ExtraFields/Proxy
I'm only seeing "proxy" in the password_query statements.
But LMTP never sends a password.
IMAP Proxying is working OK:

I have checked this and verify that this is a bug. You can track the
progress towards fixing this from https://bugzilla.samba.org as bug #210.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hee wine guys.
I have been using wine for a while now and i think it is generely a good
idea ( much better than having boot your entire windows operating system
inside linux )
It is a shame it is a little unstable

Panic: file acl-cache.c
Hello,
our dovecot mailservice was running smoothly for a long time.
Since last week we get the following error message when connecting

a few days ago we migrated our shares to a DFS cluster, also we disabled
SMBv1 protocol. Now we are no longer able to connect to the shares with

Fwd: Libvirt-QEMU : Multiplex the output from qemu's serial port to a pty as well as a file (basically redirect console to file as well as pty device)
+dev
Hi Folks ,
As per https://libvirt.org/formatdomain.html#elementsConsole
Regardless of the type, character devices can have an optional log file
associated with them.
Whether the lgging functionality is same as mapping device to file ?
Whether libvirt xml syntax below both 1 and 2 are same ?

Cyrus to Dovecot migration (OS X Server): Backup + restore messages, live "standby server" and delayed expunge and…
Hi List,
I am very close to migrating from Cyrus to Dovecot (to be more precise
from Mac OS X Server 10.5.8 to 10.6.4).
The latter is reporting the dovecotd version to be 1.1.20apple0.5.
All I have read about dovecot is extremely positive so I am exited to
make the switch.
BACKUP:
BUT I would like to be sure that I can make a sound backup strategy.
For Cyrus i used topicdesk's mailbfr (a

SSL issues when proxying
I'm getting this in the log when proxying IMAP (three "valid
certificate" messages, two "Invalid certificate" messages)
Why is dovecot (acting as a proxy to another dovecot instance here) not

Legacy PTY Support ?
I am looking at T38Modem. A relatively new version is ready for someone
to build an rpm for (Mar '07).
But the readme warns:
Q. I try to use T38modem, but after run "t38modem -p ttyx0" I get a message
"Could not open /dev/ptyx0: No such file or directory".
A. Looks like you don't have legacy PTY devices compiled in your kernel.
You need to re-compile the
