ssh-agent build failure on AIX
Hello All, I've just attempted to build from -cvs on AIX and get the following: $ gcc [snip] -c ssh-agent.c ssh-agent.c: In function `main': ssh-agent.c:975: `BSDoptarg' undeclared (first use in this function) ssh-agent.c:975: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once ssh-agent.c:975: for each function it appears in.) make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.

[PATCH] virtio-balloon: Avoid using the word 'report' when referring to free page hinting
From: Alexander Duyck <alexander.h.duyck at linux.intel.com> It can be confusing to have multiple features within the same driver that are using the same verbage. As such this patch is creating a union of free_page_report_cmd_id with free_page_hint_cmd_id so that we can clean-up the userspace code a bit in terms of readability while maintaining the functionality of legacy code.

Ctrl-Alt-F? bindings broken under xen 3.0.3-142.el5_9.1 / 2.6.18-348.1.1.el5xen?
I am not sure what I did, but for some reason Ctrl-Alt-F? bindings are broken on 64-bit xen desktop machine (but not on my laptop (32-bit, no xen)). Both machines are (mostly) up-to-date and running CentOS 5.9. I rarely hop to different Virtual Consoles (eg Ctrl-Alt-F1 ... Ctrl-Alt-F7), but today I wanted to go to the main console to watch some kernel verbage (I was checking something with

jQuery Rails Functions
Hi, I was wondering if anybody who used jQuery with rails could help me out. I have a droppable that fires a simple function, shown below: $("#list").droppable({ accept: ".item", hoverClass: ''droppable-hover'', drop: function(ev, ui) { $(this).append("<br>Dropped!"); } }); But how could I get this to fire a Rails funciton in the

openssh-3.6.1p2-passexpire20.patch prevents /etc/nologin disp lay on AIX
Courtesy follow up back to the unix-dev list (mainly for those like me who searched the archives) Thanks to the very swift response of Darren, a patched auth.c did the trick Patch enclosed below (apply after the p20) I'm guessing he'll either update p20 or issue p21 soon. Metadata Swapping: How do they do it?
Think I answered my own question really. The display in iTunes, for example, is swapping between what in status.xsl would be Stream Title and Current Song. If Song is updated like so: http://admin:password@myserver.pulverradio.com:8000/admin/metadata? mount=/high.mp3&mode=updinfo&song=ACDC+Back%20In%20Black ...then what exactly is the verbage to update StreamTitle?

PermitRootLogin=yes no longer lets root login
Hi All, While testing another patch, I found that I could not longer log in as root, even if PermitRootLogin was yes. It seems to be the following code in auth_password: $ cvs diff -r1.48 -r1.49 auth-passwd.c [snip] #ifndef HAVE_CYGWIN - if (pw->pw_uid == 0 && options.permit_root_login != PERMIT_YES) + if (pw->pw_uid == 0 && options.permit_root_login !=

Handling of FP denormal values
Hi all, While reviewing a recent clang documentation change, I became aware of an issue with the way that clang is handling FP denormals. There is currently some support for variations in the way denormals are handled, but it isn't consistent across architectures and generally feels kind of half-baked. I'd like to discuss possible solutions to this problem. First, there is a clang

Copyright versus Licenses
My company recently started using a R library from RCRAN that is licensed under the LGPL Version 2 or greater per the DESCRIPTION file, but contains no copy of the LGPL notice, or any copyright notice. I've grown accustomed to paying attention to copyright and licensing as a Debian package maintainer, and sent the author of the package an email expressing my concern. The author believed that

Delete All action
Hi, What is the best way to delete all members of a model? For example I have a tasks model and want to put a link in that will delete all tasks at once. Something like, @tasks = Task.all @tasks.each { |task| task.destroy } Do I need another action for this, and what should the link to it be? cheers, DAZ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because

LinuxPAM and sshd: changing conversation function doesn't work but claims to.
Hi. I'm one of the OpenSSH developers, and I've done some of the work on sshd's PAM interface recently. I've discovered some behaviour peculiar to LinuxPAM that I can't explain: changing the conversation function does not appear to work, even though the pam_set_item() call claims to succeed. The previous conversation function is still called. Background: the PAM API

[LLVMdev] ldmxcsr reordering issue
Hi, I met troubles with jitting x86 codes when using Intrinsic::x86_sse_ldmxcsr. The target code must execute some SSE2 instruction with DAZ/FTZ modes enabled and others with DAZ/FTZ disabled. I'm trying to get this by emitting LDMXCSR instructions with proper flag words. It appeared however that execution engine sometimes reorders these instructions with computational ones (say with

ACL's vs Share definitions (Trying again)
I have the Win2000 client(s) in a Samba domain. Domain authentication works fine, my "homes" share works fine, remote profiles work fine. Using 3.0.1Pre1 I would like to add people to "someshare" through the Security tab, and control their access through windows ACL's. How should I setup a share as a basis for doing this? The share below (someshare) in this email

Re: Carrara 6 on WINE 0.9.59, Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, Gnome 2.22.1...
Hi VitalBodies, I have just made the switch to Ubuntu myself, Whilst I understand I may never get Carrara to work, I have successfully installed Corel Bryce 5, Hexagon and Daz Studio 3 advanced under wine 1.2. The Wine App Database says that folks have got Eovia Carrara 5 to work with no problem but after installing this version along with the C++ runtime's, Carrara 5 under Wine will not let
