gettext and acts_as_paranoid gives stack overflow
HI all, I just started using acts_as_paranoid, and I''ve been using gettext for a while. Now I get the below errors when I run rake gettext:updatepo. It''s interesting that the errors seem to stack up, so the first file just errors on belongs_to_without_deleted, the second file has a layer of eval, the second has two layers of eval, and so forth. I''ve tried for a while

running office 2000 under wine without windows
Everyone: I downloaded and installed wine-20011108 from source. I am running slackware 8.0 with kernel 2.4.5. I tried installing office 2000 from the CD and captured the resulting error messages. Basically, the setup.exe is complaining about the lack of a "windows installer." Does anyone know any way around this? I recall some trick involving internet explorer being discussed the

Leaflet maps. Nudging co-incident markers
I have a dataset showing points, with a category for each point and its location. I simply want to display my points, in a way that users can toggle the points on and off by category. Where I have two objects in the same category I'd like to display them nudged to appear as two distinct, but very close points. I have made reproduceable example (the places are not real), which is loosely

RNGkind() state (PR#12567)
I sent this to R-devel early last month, but have received no response, so I guess it really is a bug. This looks like a bug to me, and is a bit hard to describe, but easy to reproduce. ? Basically, if RNGkind is saved as something other than the default, and if the first operation in a session is a set.seed(), the default is reverted to. ?Reproduce by: cafe-rozo> ?R --vanilla R version

BadOption failures "annoying"
Hi, some question about the configuration behaviour of openssh.. sshd.8 -f configuration_file Specifies the name of the configuration file. The default is /etc/sshd_config. sshd refuses to start if there is no configura- tion file. While servconf.c has the routine fill_default_server_options(ServerOptions *options) which sets valid/common options by

Documentation Bug
Okay, going to try this one more time with pine (the GnuPG signing from the Enigmail plugin for Thunderbird keeps getting rejected by sourceforge). Right. Anyway, the documentation (in several places) says the analyze option to use GNUplot is "--residual-gnuplot", when the code actually checks for "--residual-gnu-plot"....extra hyphen. i checked this late last night, but

CVS is missing documentation for HostbasedUsesNameFromPacketOnly
I'm attaching a simple doc patch against current CVS - feel free to re-word it as you see fit. I also noticed that if UseDNS is no, HostbasedUsesNameFromPacketOnly _must_ be yes if you want HostbasedAuthentication to work. -- Carson -------------- next part -------------- --- sshd_config.5.DIST 2003-09-13 02:25:18.365707000 -0400+++ sshd_config.5 2003-09-13 02:46:29.430974000 -0400@@

What's the point of UseDNS?
According to the manpage: UseDNS Specifies whether sshd should look up the remote host name and check that the resolved host name for the remote IP address maps back to the very same IP address. The default is ``yes''. Thing is, while sshd *checks*, this doesn't actually control whether or not the client is allowed to connect, it seems at most to be an option that causes
