CentOS - Mar 2011 - what wrong about my ipv6 address

Hi 

I used the command "ip -6 addr add 2001:DB8:CAFE:1111::12/64 dev eth0"

to add ipv6 address and can see it in ifconfig 

but can't ping it

Why?

hi,

have you correctly set gateway? Send `ip -6 route` and `route -n -A
inet6` to us. What about to ping ipv6.google.com from this pc?
Where did you run ping command? Have you IPv6 enabled there? "From
::1"
looks like something is misconfigured..
