Feature Request: RSA and PasswordAuth subsequently
I want the server to require after a sucessful RSA authentication additional PasswordAuthentication. This feature is implemented in the ssh-server from ssh.com and there ist a need for it. Certainly i can buy the ssh.com version but i would rather prefer to use openssh. If nothing obvious militate against the attempt to implement this feature for openssh, i toy with the idea to do it myself.

ext3 patch for 2.4.6 (plain or ac1)
Does the ext3 patch applies on top of the newly released 2.4.6 kernel (and/or the 2.4.6-ac1 variant) ? I want to upgrade to the new kernel and wanted to know before I run into problems if there are any known problems and if it's better to wait for an 'official' release. Thanks. 0.9.2 or 0.9.3 ?
Hi, I found out that a new version of ext3-2.4 was available from the previous messages on this list, despite the fact that no 'official' announce was given... I'm currently running 0.9.1 on 2.4.6-ac2 without problems. Should I upgrade to 0.9.2 (I suppose yes by reading the changelog :-)) ? What about the 0.9.3-pre version ? What does the -pre mean exactly (any incidence on the

DSA Fingerprints...
Hello, Questions, observations, and curiosities. Maybe this is something stupid or maybe I'm doing something wrong... But... In light of the Kurt Seifried paper on SSH and SSL, I was looking for the finger prints on my various servers and known hosts files to have a little crib sheet and maybe plug the list into a database on my palm pilot. I found that ssh-keygen lists out the

Possible bug: Putty's psftp doesn't work when priv-sep is turned on
Hi List(s) A customer of mine reported that sftp didn't work for them. It seems to work just fine for me on that system, and after checking into it I noticed that the customer used psftp, while I use sftp from either cygwin or the linux version from openssh. The openssh version of sftp works in all cases, priv-sep on or off. However, the putty psftp breaks as soon as I turn on priv-sep

Strange problem with X11 forwarding...
Ok... This could be cockpit error, but I just don't see it. I've installed OpenSSH 2.1.0 and I can't get X11 forwarding to work. I don't recall having this problem under 1.2.3, but I don't use X11 forwarding often enough to really say that I actually saw it work either. Both sides are running OpenSSH-2.1.0-1 installed from rpm. The client side is running RedHat Linux 6.1

plm(): observations not used for modelling
Hello, I have posted this problem before, but thought I try to explain it a bit better. I'm using the function plm to create a fixed effects model for panel data, my method is therefor "within" my effect is "twoways". My Data contains unbalanced Panels due to missing Values, but contains 309 observation for 11 variables (incl. response), with no missing Values. These 309

R minimal calculation error
Hi, I'm doing some easy calculations to normalize some values. This looks like this: x=mean(a+b+c+d ...) a=a-x b=b-x c=c-x d=d-x ... mean(a+b+c+d ...) ---> Should now be 0! However, I'm getting results like -2.315223e-18 This is really near to 0 but not very aesthetic. Can I prevent this? Or is this behaviour desired? Thank you very much! Priv Sep SSH has / as CWD
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, This may or may not be a bug. However, it is DEFINITELY NOT how I would expect and want to see sshd work! If you run lsof against sshd on a privilege separated user, it shows that sshd's CWD is /. I would hope that the CWD would be at a minimum /var/empty/sshd and I would really have thought it would be something along the lines of

Problems with reshape2 on Mac
Hi! I updated to reshape2 yesterday and tried to make it work. Unfortunately, it mainly throws error messages at me (good thing it's reshape2 1.0 and not reshape 2.0). The most recent is: Error in match.fun(FUN) : object 'id' not found When I manually create an object 'id', it says: Error in get(as.character(FUN), mode = "function", envir = envir) : object

Two Locations, One Domain - LDAP Auth Failure
Hi Dirk, thanks for your reply! I definatly want to go down the BDC route so that I always log on to the nearest server. The link between the two isn't really an issue - both have a DSL connection to the internet. I started by modifying my smb.conf files so that each server is a local master for their subnet, but only the uni box is domain master. After fiddling with the 'remote
