Request with Tech support
Hi, We are having a few problems with establishing SAMBA Security measures on Windows NT 4.0. We would really appreciate it if you could help us on this matter. I had recently downloaded SAMBA version 1.9.18p10 for Solaris 7 ( Intel Edition) and it works fine with public access shares. Our setup goes like this.... WIN NT 4.0 workstations are on a LAN, users are authenticated to a Novel 4.0

I know there is a function for this, larrows, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to use it. I've been using the default panel function (which is I haven't specified any panel function) and this produces the plot that I like. I've tried defining a panel

I have a pcwin3.11. I was mapping solaris 2.5 with samba2.0.5 fine. I added the solaris2.7 system with samba2.0.7 to this small lan. Actaully this solaris 2.7 box was another 2.5 box that I upgraded it. I ftped the smb.conf file from the solaris2.5 box to the solaris 2.7 box so that this way the two solaris systems match and that pcwin3.11 will work with both equally well. I even mated the

Pravin, You don't necessarily need a login script, but it is nice for mounting shared drives and printers, or just copying/installing files. Use an empty login script to start, then use the Windows "command line" (the "net use /?" command is helpful here) to mount and attach to services you want.
