Tortoise CVS download for Asterisk Docs
http://www.asteriskdocs.org/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=4 Can I make a suggestion that some documentation is provided for the Tortoise CVS download of the asterisk docs. I've tried every combination and I cant get it to work. I'm assuming it must work otherwise it wouldn't have been listed but for 60 seconds more work it would be a bigger benefit to the asterisk

Windows MSI file installation
After a recent reload with Kubuntu Hardy 8.04, my son and I are having some success with wine and M$ games/programs, mostly by bloodymindedness and the occasional foulup - losing sound intermittently was unexpected, although this may be due to the presence of an Audigy sound card, which despite being recognised and configured, nevertheless is not currently providing sound output - the main board

TortoiseCVS
Hi, I'm trying to use TortoiseCVS under Linux (through Wine). I'd like to eventually write some shell scripts to invoke it properly from Nautilus but that is still a ways off. Some of Tortoise's functionality works, like enumerating the code modules in the CVS repository. However, actually checking out code works for the first file but then fails:

Windows SDK not up to speed
Hello, Being that this is my first post here and my first ever post on a mailing list, I hope I am doing everything right! Anyways, basically I have joined this mailing list because I have a concern/question. Why is the Windows SDK at version 1.0.1 when the Linux/Unix library is at 1.1.0? If this is a number difference and it is really the same thing, I apologize. But, if it is that the

Using SVN + SSH on windows
Hi the list, I try to use R-Forge for developping a projet. I am using tortoise SVN (last version) but I do not manage to Commit. I read the R-Forge user Manual and some post on but I do not manage to find the solution. Here is what I did: 1/ I download 'puttygen.exe'. I generate a key (256 bits). 2/ I save the private key in a file 'private.ppk' on my computer. 3/ I

Disabling lookup for /homedir
Hi! I am very new to OpenSSH but I've still read the manuals without any result which can solve my problem - thats why i am contacting you. I have a unix-machine with a subversion server running. authentication is done with ldap and svn is done via ssh (svn+ssh:// my.server.com/my/repository). I have a centralized authorized_keys for pub-key authentication via ssh and users only can do svn.

Setting up TortoiseSVN and PuTTY on Windows for r-forge.r-project.org (Was: Re: Using SVN + SSH on windows)
Here are some notes/observations I've done on my setup that works for me. Hopefully it will be added to some r-forge documentation/wiki. I use: Windows Vista Business SP2 32bit TortoiseSVN 1.6.7 (Build 18415 - 32 Bit , 2010/01/22 17:55:06) PuTTY v0.60 (with Pageant v0.60) I have a deprecated r-forge project ('r-oo') that I will use through out. My r-forge username is

Re: os_support.h, libc overrides
Jean-Marc, Attached is a patch (to build 14264) to fix the TI DSP builds with the recent restructuring of libspeex. The change adds a hook in os_support.h to allow the user to override some memory allocation and I/O functions. A similar hook was present in misc.c, but was lost when that file was removed. Also, the size of the private memory allocation area has been reduced, to match

Possible improvements/clarifications for R-forge (Was: Re: Using SVN + SSH on windows)
Hi, first, r-forge.r-project.org is filling a need and provides a great service to the community. Please read this thread as sincere feedback for making it even better, not as a complaint. I fully understand that r-forge is ran by limited resources and on a volunteer basis. I'll list some points about r-forge that I think could be improved/clarified. Not expecting anything, just sharing my

One last windows/linux question
One last windows/linux question... We have an exchange server, only accessible by the exchange protocols. I.E. no pop, no Imap, and no web. What can I use Linux side to connect to this? (here's my attempt, to be the only one on the network NOT to use windows) J

Which version control system to learn for managing Rprojects?
Gabor As someone trying to the rest of my team using Subversion (which I have used for a while, but more as a backup / record of changes), have you a neat / automated way of building a package from a subversion repository? Hello & a simple question
Hello, I'm new to R, but it seems to work nicely for me from the start. Being a molecular biologist, I do not have a profound knowledge of statistical reasoning. I have two questions: 1) is there an other manual for R available apart from the `R-intro' document, especially one with more in-deep description of calculating basic statistics with R? ...and a more specific one: 2) Suppose

Version naming to use in a RoR proyect
Hi everyone, I would need to know if RoR follow any policy for version naming; I mean, something like linux´s kernel does or similar. For instance, kernel uses numbers separated in groups by dots (i.e. pre 2.6 - AA.BB.CC). These groups mean differents fixtures, bugs fixed... I will start a big proyect from scratch with rails and I want to choose now a standart to use and avoid future problems

Thoughts for you geniuses
Situation -- Samba 2.2.5, RedHat Linux 8.0 Domain -- W2K AD After boot, I can go into Network Neighborhood, and I can see the name of the computer. When I double click on it it's unaccessible. Also, I can't see the network from the Linux box, I can ping it all, but I can't see it. Where is the "network neighborhood" in Linux? Also, the big question... I need, (upon

OS for rails development: Windows vs. Mac?
Caveat: this is not a discussion about *hosting* a rails app on windows. Anyway...Macs are everywhere you look when researching rails (demo vids, tutorials, and pictures from rails training classes). I''m interested in what the pros to using a Mac for rails development are (besides textmate). Is it more of a cultural thing, a what would 37 signals do thing, is it a unix thing, or
