Plot an ols() call from Design
Dear users,
I am attempting to plot an ols() call from the Design package, by
following the procedure explained by Harald Baayen in his 2008 book
'Analyzing linguistic data. A practical introduction to statistics
using R', page 175-181.
I've attached my data to this e-mail (I hope it's small enough that that's ok).
First I paste all the commands I ran, followed by the

font size in legend
Hy all
I use barplot to draw frequencies by dates.
On the x axis it shows only 1 date for 2 bars, i've understand why, because R cant put so much date on the same axis, it will get out of the graph.
that's why i tought about reducing the size of the font used to stamp the x axis.
anyone knows the right way? i've tryed par(cin) and barplot(cin=3) but it says i cannot do it at this

Trouble with glm() .... non-integer #successes in a binomial glm
Hi R-people:
When I use the command to fit a model with an intercept, only:
glm ( formula=haspdata ~ 1, data=dat, family=binomial, weights=
dat$hy.wgt.s, subset=(dat$haspdat0!=3) )
I get the message:
Warning message:
non-integer #successes in a binomial glm! in: eval(expr, envir, enclos)
Does anyone know what this means?? The data for this command is listed
below.
Thanks,

MENU CLEAR with vesamenu
How does MENU CLEAR work for vesamenu?
I see no difference with and without the "MENU CLEAR" directive in config file.
As soon as I choose from menu, the boot graphics logo is always erased
and screen switches to textmode, regardless of MENU CLEAR. I expected
the screen to stay in graphics mode while kernel and initrd is loading
(while the dots are displayed). Is my expectation wrong? Is

New top menu item
David, can we get a "Documentation" item in the main menu leading to a new
documentation page? I'd like to add a Howto and some other info for end users
but none of the 4 main menu pages seem appropriate for that. I didn't see a
way to add a menu item through the wiki, so I think you need to do that.
Also, have you any thoughts about a new official logo? There's a thread

no menu.c32, no problem...
Fellow syslinux fans,
I'm using syslinux on a boot floppy (I'll call this syslinux A) to
invoke an etherboot image (zlilo style) which invokes a tagged NBI
image from my DHCP/TFTP server. The tagged NBI image is created using
mknbi-dos and also uses syslinux (I'll call this syslinux B), a linux
kernel and an initrd file.
It works perfectly if syslinux A has a basic .CFG, e.g.:

Specification change requests
Hi,
as Conrad suggested, I've made a complete list of all points in the
specification, which I beleive are errors, or where the explanation
is unclear, contains unneccessary steps and so on.
I hope someone has time to look through the points and if and when
accepting or rejecting them be so very kind and inform me about it.
I will also once again try to work through the residue

Why app_rx and app_tx when we have IAXModem and Hylafax and hy-email2fax? Should we reinvent the wheel?
I'm just wondering here, in our community... Why not HylaFax for Fax
solutions?
I'm not saying bad about the big efforts on app_tx and app_rx with spandsp.
But as me and many other asterisk users, we find out that
Hylafax+IAXModem+Asterisk is very reliable.
And from what i've been testing and reading, Hylafax is an extremely

Setting background color on a menu bar?
Thank you all for your help with my previous question.
Now I have a question on setting the background color
of a menu bar: can it be done?
I''ve experimented thus:
menuBar = Wx::MenuBar.new()
menuBar.set_background_color( Wx::WHITE )
But alas, it seems to have no effect.
(I''m using wxruby-1.9.0-i386-mswin32 with ruby 1.8.6)
Thanks much!

Before investing time in replying to each different (unexpected)
behavior, I would suggest testing with *pre-built* binaries from
6.04-pre1 downloaded from kernel.org (considering the lack of package
maintenance).
Reminder: *all* (used) syslinux-related binaries pertaining to the

installing under IRIX 6.3
Dear All:
I'm new to R, though I've used S+ on Windows. Since now I'm working on a
SGI, I would like to switch to R.
I'm trying to install R v.0.64.1 on a Silicon Graphics R5000 under IRIX
6.3, 180 MHz, 128 Mb RAM, but ran into some problems.
When I do the ./configure everything goes well, but when I do the make I
get the following error:
