CentOs 5.6 and Time Sync
Hi,
I have upgraded my Dell C151 to the latest 5.6. I have always used
ntp to sync this machine and then the rest of the machines in the
network would sync from it. Since the update I cannot keep the right
time on the machine. This is with / without ntp. I have attempted
various scenario's with no luck. I am now trying the old kernel now as I
type this out. If anyone else has any

Error accessing [homes] after 3.0.25b update (uppercase)
OS is smeserver, based on CentOS/RHEL 4.
After update to samba 3.0.25b (included in RHEL U6) users who had

All other shares worked.
On every attempt a line similar to the following was logged:

Small patch for RPM spec file (kerberos)
I decided to try openssh 3.3p1 on my Mandrake box that's lacking a
complete install of kerberos. Installed the SRPM, ran rpm -bb
openssh.spec and it bombed. Made it through the configure stage and
moved onto compilation, where it barfed because it couldn't find the
kerberos headers (I had krb5-libs installed, but not krb5-devel).
Attached is a small little patch to the spec file to add

TMPDIR for agent socket?
On the subject of moving the directory for the agent socket, is there
any reason this couldn't be changed to support $TMPDIR? That would
allow people to put the agent socket directory wherever they wanted. I
see the -a option, but wouldn't $TMPDIR (to specify the directory in
which the agent socket directory would be created) be easier (yes, I'm
lazy)?

BSD domU with HVM
Hi all!
I have recently purchased an Athlon X2 3800+ and I should like to
install FreeBSD or OpenBSD in a HVM domU on Xen 3.0.3-1 dom0 (Debian
packages). Is it possible? In such case, can someone recommend me a
guide/howto to accomplish it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi all!
I''m trying to create a Windows domU setting vcpu=2 and cpus= "0,2", but
xm vcpu-list show the second vcpu in paused state all the time. Is it
necessary to use any additional parameter?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
It is quite easy.
I use a client (thunderbird or windows live mail) set it up to use starttls on standard port 110. Logon and just do a list on the mailbox. The fatal error occurred when I logoff.

Debian Squeeze hangs with kernel 2.6.32-5-xen-686
Hi all!
After upgrading to Squeeze, I am watching a Xen VMHost that after a
while it hangs. This did not happen when I was using Xen with Debian
Lenny (in this case as with Squeeze, the Xen components are from Debian
repositories).
In each case I connected a keyboard and monitor to the computer and the
screen remained black without answering any key.
This problem seems to also affect domUs,

res_config_mysql - maximum field length for appdata
Hello list,
as I am trying to write a complex macro for my users i have the problem,
that the appdata field in the extensions table is to small for all my macro
parameters.
I am using the DB definition from
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+RealTime+Extensions
so appdata is limited to 128 characters.
And I would prefer some more ;)
After looking around in res_config_mysql.c I did

The USA is on DST now, but Europe is not.
If you are in Europe, be aware that the VoIP Users Conference
conference will start one hour early today. In Paris, that translates
to GMT+1 or 5PM, in the UK 4PM.
Grand Central is about to be re-branded as Google Voice.

Changes should be announced soon. I logged in but see no difference
yet. FWIW, Google says it'll still

Lahman Baseball Data Using R DBI Package
This is really a feature of SQL, not R. SQL requires that you double quote
column names that start with numbers, include spaces, etc., or that are SQL
key words. E.g.,

Where=c("here","there","there"), From=c("me","me","you"))
