Re: WinME command.com
Hi..
Well i've tried each and every method to insert any winme command.com into
any bootable image and its really giving me problems....
I even further tested the same image with reinserting the 98 command.com and
the image worked just fine.. So acc to me the problem has to lie in me

Problem with booting disk images
Hello,
We are having problems booting disk images and are looking for a little
help.
Here is the screen capture of what we see:
http://www.kmaclub.com/syslinux/largefloppy.png
We have also tried using images from
http://severinterrier.free.fr/Boot/ImgBoot/ with a similar result.
Basically, memdisk loads the images and then it hangs.

A problem with 4.8 reported by myself and Aaron D. Gifford.
Anyone in -stable who knows more?

I'm assembling a Compaq 1850R with attached storage system. For the
built in scsi controller (sym), there are three drives internally on
channel 1 + 5 drives externally on channel 2.
During boot, I can see all disks being identified first by the machine

Dell machine boots a Windows formatted FAT16 USB drive not a Ubuntu formatted FAT16 drive.
Hi All,
First post and hopefully someone can steer me in
the right direction for this problem. I did a bit
of googling and found some hints but nothing concrete.
We are using Syslinux and a FAT32 USB thumb drive
(single partition) to boot a customized Debian OS
which works very well with newer motherboards.
However we have a few older Dell machines that
simply hangs when trying to boot

help ith burncd (Input/output error, 6.1-RC, plextor PX-740a)
I have a new system which includes a Plextor PX-740a DVD+-R/RW CD-R/RW
drive attached to an Asus A8V-MX motherboard.
When I try to use burncd to burn a cd, it writes all of the data, says
"fixating CD, please wait.." and then reports
burncd: ioctl(CDRIOCFIXATE): Input/output error
Oddly enough, the CD seems to be usable.
I can successfully burn the same file if I use cdrecord.

SCSI bus reset with Adaptec 29320ALP and Eonstor RAID
Hello,
I am trying to use a 1.5TB Eonstor raid array with FreeBSD 7.0, but I
don't understand whether it is the raid or the scsi card or something
else that is causing the computer problems when accessing the raid. My
problem is that soon after recognizing the attached disk during boot,
FreeBSD appears to hang for about 10 seconds and then says

changing the drawing context using Cairo and RGtk2
I am not too familiar with Cairo and RGtk2 and have the following problem:
I have a container with two GTK drawing areas converted into Cairo devices.
I know that I can set the current drawing context e.g. using dev.set().
But this is tedious. How can I set the context using the objects da1 or da2?
w <- gtkWindow()
w$setSizeRequest(400, 400)
vbox <- gtkVBox()
da1 <- gtkDrawingArea()

This patch builds a floppy image with contains HDT, so users of GRUB or GRUB4DOS can use HDT too, without installing Syslinux.
When you compile Syslinux, this floppy image isn't build automatically.
To build it, runthe following from the extracted Syslinux source:
$ cd ./com32/hdt

As suggested by Pierre-Alexandre Meyer, all extra files required for building
