So that reference says the "classical generic MBR" partition entry # 1 is
offset 0x1BE.
Which in this image is right in the error strings (?) section.

2.6.22.9-xen (ubuntu) and Nvidia x86_64-100.14.19 - success
On my recently acquired Core2Duo I''ve installed debian etch amd64,
Then I''ve pulled the linux-source from since I need newer raid and
netcard drivers:

[LLVMdev] Multi instruction pattern help
I am trying to get a multi instruction pattern to work and seem to be
running into trouble.
The problem itself is fairly simple. I need to go from 64bit floats to
32bit integers. As the backend doesn't support this natively but has a
way of converting it, I'd prefer to get this working via tablegen.
What I thought would work from the previous discussion is the following:

Question of syslinux chainloading
Lu Wei,
For the DOS portion make sure you have a working FAT-32 DOS Bootable
Drive first. Back up it's boot sector into a file. This file will
probably be 512 Bytes and if you were to open it with a Hex editor it
would start with ".X.MSWIN4.1" and end with "SYS~..WINBOOT SYS..U"
This would of course be looking at the ASCII view. Assuming you put
the file in the DOS

[LLVMdev] Multi instruction pattern help
Chris,
Thanks for the help, this will help me with writing more patterns, but
I am still hitting another roadblock. I attempted what you suggested and
it fixed that issue, but then it started giving a warning that there is
an unknown node in the resulting pattern.
// unsigned int: f64->i32 ==> f64->f32 + f32->i32

LINUX memdisk
INITRD voyage-current.iso
APPEND iso raw console=ttyS0,115200n81 panic=5 pause

INITRD voyage-0.6.5.iso
APPEND iso raw console=ttyS0,115200n81 panic=5 pause
It mostly works - memdisk

Driver installation after reboot
Hello,
I have installed a Windows game using Wine. ("Ritter Rost", basically
a simple point and click adventure for children, see
http://www.terzio.de/produkte/677/Ritter_Rost_Geisterjagd_Wasserpost.html)
When starting the game, I receive a message that some drivers are
being installed. (That's okay, I receive the same message when running
the game for the first time on Windows.)

Question of syslinux chainloading
Lu Wei,
What Hard drive are you also trying to boot? The first and only fixed
drive inside a computer?
If so would the line to boot a local HD not be:
LABEL LOCAL
MENU LABEL Local operating system in harddrive (if available)
kernel chain.c32
append hd0

Iso-linux boot fails on SCSI CD-ROMs?
Hi all,
I'm currently using Gentoo Linux. It's boot CD uses isolinux. When I
boot it, it gives me a nice LILO like prompt, but trying to start any
image fails. Loading of the image and initrd loading works though. Even
booting a memtest image fails. I get the following text during boot:
ISOLINUX 2.02 2003-02-13 isolinux: Loading spec packet failed, trying to
wing it...
