More info:
I did a fully windows update, but still get the error.
The time on server and on client are the same!
The Samba Server, which is the DNS Server as well, is set as primary DNS
Server to Windows 2012 R2.
I am able to ping to ad-master, which is the Samba AD.
Windows 7 and Windows 10, Windows 2008 and Windows 2008 R2 are able to join
the domain as domain member.
Just Windows 2012 R2 are

Ok! Let try it again!
I really meant join the Samba AD Domain as domain member.
I wonder why I can do it with Windows 10, which is newer than Windows 2012
R2.
Thanks any way.

The user name or password is incorrect
Hello list
I have Samba 4.1.17 installed via Zentyal Server 3.5.
When I try with Windows 7 and Windows 10, I am able to get into Samba AD
Domain.
But, now, when I try insert a Windows Server 2012 R2, I get this message:
The user name or password is incorrect.
5 minutes ago, I try it with Windows 7 and Windows 10, and everything works
fine! And try it using the same username and password.

L2tp and winbind - server role active directory domain controller
Hi
Thanks for your answer...
Unfortunatelly, I can't upgrade because it's a appliance - Zentyal Server
4.0.
I will try another thing.
Thank you any way...

Well
I was sad before, when said Linux do not have tools to sysadmins regard
samba and replicated file servers, like DFS.
Now I am really sad not only for this, but also for fellows throw me out to
the wolves...
Just because I change my mind....

Hi
Yes! That's me. I cannot change this Zentyal version, 'cause some feature
was removed from newer version, such Proxy Squid, High Availability and
others tools.
But I just wondering why Windows 10 Pro can join the domain and why
Windows2012 R2, which is older than Windows 10....
Perhaps I do something wrong.. I don't know!

And I will continue to work with these tools and never stop..
I already try OmniOS, Oracle, RedHat ( since RedHat 5 ), Slackware....
I am not a noobie!
I just saying that I will shift to Windows, in certain cases, instead

Samba 4.1.7 and Dial-In tab
Hi friends
I have Samba 4.1.7 acting as an AD Server.
I'm using RSAT over Windows 2008 R2 to manage the users and groups.
Now, I have installed RRAS in Windows 2008 R2, hopelly to create VPN
service, but I can't manage Dial-in tab using Active Director Users and
Computers.
is there something that I can do??
Thanks

Uhm upgrade.. to zentyal 4.2..
Setup a member server, now enable l2tp with winbindd
That should work fine.
Winbindd can not run on the AD DC, but it does on a member server.

And yes, I am try to join Windows 2012 R2 as member of the domain.
