Hello list I have Samba 4.1.17 installed via Zentyal Server 3.5. When I try with Windows 7 and Windows 10, I am able to get into Samba AD Domain. But, now, when I try insert a Windows Server 2012 R2, I get this message: The user name or password is incorrect. 5 minutes ago, I try it with Windows 7 and Windows 10, and everything works fine! And try it using the same username and password. Just Windows Server 2012 R2 cannot insert into Samba AD Domain. I google the issue and receive some tricks, like change register to accept Smb instead Smb V2, like this: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\DependOnService Original Value: SamSS Srv2 Change to: SamSS Srv and I already try this: In powershell do : Add-WindowsFeature FS-SMB1 None of this tricks solve my issue here.... Somebody has another tricks??? Thanks a lot -- Gilberto Ferreira +55 (47) 9676-7530 Skype: gilberto.nunes36

You definitively cannot do the first because of a schema mis-match and I am not sure you can do the second either. I think you are going to have to give us a lot more info. Rowland
Ok! Let try it again! I really meant join the Samba AD Domain as domain member. I wonder why I can do it with Windows 10, which is newer than Windows 2012 R2. Thanks any way. 2016-09-13 15:03 GMT-03:00 Rowland Penny via samba <samba at lists.samba.org>:> On Tue, 13 Sep 2016 14:47:18 -0300 > Gilberto Nunes via samba <samba at lists.samba.org> wrote: > > > Hello list > > > > I have Samba 4.1.17 installed via Zentyal Server 3.5. > > When I try with Windows 7 and Windows 10, I am able to get into Samba > > AD Domain. > > But, now, when I try insert a Windows Server 2012 R2, I get this > > message: > > > > The user name or password is incorrect. > > It all depends on what you mean by 'insert', do you mean that you are > trying to join the Win2012R2 machine to the domain as a DC ? or as a > domain member ? > > You definitively cannot do the first because of a schema mis-match and > I am not sure you can do the second either.
