How to eliminate for next loops in this script

means and error bars on xyplot for binary data
Hi, I have binary (0,1) data for a trait as my response variable, and a dependent variable, genotype, with three classes (AA, AB, BB). I would like to plot this data so that across the three genoytpes, even though the points are all either 0 or 1, i want them to stack up or be seen using 'jitter'. scales in xyplot doesn't seem to work for x axis
Hi I'm doing a xyplot and I wand to reduce the number of tick marks in the x axis. My x axis are month and I want to reduce the 12 tick marks to 4. I used the scales argument but it doesn't seem to work, althougth it works on y axis if I use scales=list(tick.number=4).

Coloring Stripchart Points, or Better, Lattice Equivalent
Hi All. I have the commands below to create a stripchart/plot. I was hoping to color the points in the plot by yr, and use a symbol that varied with resp. However, the outcome makes it appear as though the point by point col and pch data is not being passed properly. Any suggestions?
