Outgoing calls for a fancy address book app
Hi !
I'd like to connect phpgroupware to asterisk: when a user click on a phone
number, his phone rings and he gets connected to the number he just clicked.
I've tried by putting various files in /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing, without
results (we are using SIP phones + CAPI channels).
Is there a way to do that ?
(If it's impossible (something impossible in *, LOL ?!?) I will

It turns out this all happened because of a brand new network switch. We put
the old one back in out of desperation and, BAM, all the problems went away.
There were no other symtoms that pointed at that switch so we didn't suspect
it all.

Suggestion on Network Management software with troubleticket system
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi all,
I'm looking for a network management software. And as the network grows
it clearly becomes that manual notes is getting too tedious. Also an
integrated troube ticketing systemm would be great.
Any reference is really appreciated.
Thanks.

PCAD2001 under wine
Dear sirs !
I have the only troube with PCAD under wine - PCB router shows all
traces 2 times thicker than real. (any version of wine in any
configurations)
It is possible to download 30 day trial for experiments.
There are some number of noncritical bugs, but trace width is most
significant.
This feature prevent me from using pcad under wine.
Will anyone solve this problem ?
Will it ever

RE: DHCPd Config or HOW-TO on DNS + DHCP + SQUID +Firewall + Router
I thought I'd share this with you guys:-
Been working/testing on the DEV release of SME7a3 based on CenTOS (on
VMWARE), see contribs.org. Pretty neat I must say, most daemons (DNS,
DCHP, SMB-PDC, LDAP, IMAP, POP, Web Admin) are preconfigured. I've got
phpGroupware, WebERP, KnowledgeTree + other running on the same box
(VMWARE).
I've always had a challenge with manually configuring

Manager Interface Needs a protocol
I was using the Asterisk::Manager perl module and had some troube with it
so I decided to make my own. I have a pretty good prototype after a few hours
(My main point about the protocol is at the bottom of this example.)
http://asterisk.650dialup.com is where you can download it.

Mail Server Install
Hi Friends,
I am planning to upgrade my mail server from CentOS4.5 to CentOS5. By this, I also planned to replace my postfix mail server with Scalix although the community edition limit me to just 25 premium user, I think it is suffice for us with the remaining user as standard user (with approx. <> 100 users total). Is there a catch on using Scalix based on your experience. I see that

using LDAP and PDC together
Hello,
I am in the process of migrating to
passdb backend = ldapsam
on debian unstable with the latest 3.0pre samba package.
All users have a ldap sambaAccount object which was added by hand after
using migrationtools from padl.com. Testing auth with smbclient works
fine, however when using samba as a PDC from WinXP I can't log into the
domain as I used to when "passdb backend =

Migrating from mbox to maildir, which converter is compatible with dovecot
Hi,
I'm testing/debuging the migration from mbox to maildir in a mailserver
running Dovecot 1.0alpha5.
I migrated all 472715 emails(in a test server) and later noted that dovecot
could not get the same flags/status of the emails as in the mbox.
I was using perfect_maildir.pl and I think its not dovecot fault. Seems
to me that perfect_maildir.pl convert the emails in a way that dovecot

Samba 3.0 + AD + OpenLDAP
Hi everyone!
I've already deployed samba-2.2.7a-2 and enabled openLDAP support. I
now have a machine configured as a domain controller authenticating all
windows users via openLDAP. openLDAP is also authenticating all of our
linux users.
I would like to install Exchange2000 on a windows2000 machine so our
windows users can do calendaring (sendmail already handles all of our
email needs).

dovecot rpms, .subscriptions file, mbox to maildir
Hi,
I am running dovecot 0.99-14 on a Fedora Core 2 machine. I had a few
questions:
1) I wanted to upgrade to the dovecot-1.0 release. However, I am not
sure if that's really required. dovecot-0.99-14 has been running very
well for me for quite some time. Is there a real advantage to switching
to the latest release. The reason I'm asking this is because:
i) I don't have too

Quota not showing correctly after conversion (mb2md.pl)
-- SCENARIO --
I'm using dovecot-1.0.5-6 on opensuse 10.3.
I use the maildir quota plugin, and I'm converting mailboxes from UW IMAP (mbox) to Maildir format using that mb2md.pl script (3.10 I guess).
My migration happens like this:
- if a user receives mail (before ever using the new mail system), it goes to his/her inbox, dovecot proceeds normally, like when a user exists, but

Port based VLAN Switch + tc + routing troube
Hello,
I have a little strange config. I will try to explain it as short as
possible.
I have ethernet switch, which is Port Based VLAN enabled.
For example: this switch have 3 ports.
Port 1 is VLAN 1 only.
Port 2 is VLAN 2 only.
Port 3 is VLAN 1 and 2.
This means that if packet come from Port 1 it will be sent ONLY to port 3.
If packet come from Port 2 it again will be sent to Port 3 only.
