I am wondering why sieve-filter is so slow compared to gnu sieve. I run mpop (like getmail) to download from a pop3 server to a local mbox file: ~/mail/email-incoming-unsorted This step is very fast. I'm unable to get dovecot-lda with sieve filtering to deliver into maildir folders. The examples on the wiki explicitly say "mbox", so I'm wondering, does the dovecot-lda sieve implementation not support filtering into maildir folders? -frank

upgraded to rc19. using maildirs. solaris 9/cc. removed all modules from pop/imap/lda subdirs and first upgraded dovecot to rc19 and then used dovecot-sieve-1.0.1 sources to build against the dovecot source directory ( everything now builds nicely on Solaris, thank you Timo ). added "cmusieve" to the list of plugins used by lda. ail_plugins = cmusieve now getting this:

I have a working Dovecot + LDA + Maildir setup and am looking to implement sieve with it. The examples that I have seen seem to be for mbox. Does sieve work with maildir? Looking to move mails marked as spam to a spam folder. Also we have a feature we offer to send spam to a different account in the domain. Could this also be done with sieve?

I found an email that sieve stored in Deleted Messages incorrectly. The log messages show sieve doing that, but don't give me any indication of which sieve rule caused the problem. I went through it manually, but didn't see anything that matched. I seem to recall that there was a way to use sieve-test to show the rules and how they were applied, but I can't seem to get it to do that
