Problem in dovecot 0.99 - login username case sensitive create fake maildirs
Hello, I have noticed a weird behaviour in dovecot 0.99 which, I hope, is not replicated in 1.0-alpha. First I have to say that it works very well. So if I login with user foo at bar.com, the maildir is created. But when I log in with User FOO at BAR.COM, or FOO at BAR.com, then two other maildirs are created. Authentication is ok (I'm using mysql backend) but no mails are obviously

AR: Be careful w/legacy column names with capital letters
All, I''ve found an issue that is somewhat strange. Assume: An AR object backed by a legacy schema which includes column names that start with a capital letter. Summary: In a partial view, you cannot access an overridden getter method for a column on your model object if that method name is equal to the column name and the column name starts with a capital letter. Capital letters in usernames
Hi, Can anyone help me with an annoying problem regarding capital letters in usernames. I have three users whose usernames begin with a capital, and I'd really like to fix this so that all usernames are lower case, for consistency and to avoid confusion if they use other services provided by the linux box. (I'm using tbdsam backend, with Samba 3.0.22 as PDC.) I've tried using

Vampire and Capital Letters
I find Linux to be a nightmare if usernames have capital letters. Some old Windows PDCs that we are vampiring have usernames with capital letters. AFAIK you can't change a windows username Is there a way of telling the vampire to make all usernames lowercase as it imports them? Can I use pdbedit or any other tool to make them lowercase? At the moment I am changing /etc/passwd and the

capital letters in html help
While looking for "Memory" in the html help I discovered that all the capital letters are put in the first section with operators and global variables. I think this a bug although perhaps Memory is a global variable. How to change letters after space into capital letters
What is the easiest way to change within vector of strings each letter after a space into a capital letter? E.g.: c( "this is an element of the vector of strings", "second element" ) becomes: c( "This Is An Element Of The Vector Of Strings", "Second Element" ) My reason to try to do this is to get more readable abbreviations. (A suggestion would be to

migrating NT4 PDC net rpc vampire errors with capital letters
Hi, I have searched for days on Google and can't find a clear answer to my question. I have a NT4 PDC which I am migrating to Samba 3 (Version 3.4.2-47.fc12) on FC12 with kernel(2.6.31.5-127.fc12.i686). I am using tdbsam as my passdb backend. I setup Samba as a BDC and then joined to NT4 Domain succesfully. When I go to vampire the accounts I get lots of errors and some user accounts get

Dovecot response to "FETCH" command
Hi folks. I just converted my site from UW+mbox to dovecot+maildir (stable-test59, 2005/02/25). For the most part, everything is great. The server seems faster and less memory intense than the UW server (this part has made me very happy). And it's definitely more user friendly to me than Courier. There is one thing however... A few of my users are using the web based mail reader

possible bug with mail->get_header and caching?
I don't know if this is intended or not, but here it comes. I have * that copy plugin I was working on * dovecot 1.0-test59 * thunderbird test client My copy plugin looks for the X-DSPAM-Signature header line, and reports it to syslog as such: imap: we have a signature: "X-DSPAM-Signature: <sig>" where <sig> is replaced by what is found in the header line. This only

Dovecot causing hanging on random folders...
I've been using the 1.0 test series (currently 1.0test 67 and before that 1.0-test59) and both exhibited this issue.. I use Thunderbird and will open one or two of my nested Maildir folders via imap and find that it goes out there trying to open the folder (according to the messages that Thunderbird claims) and it never comes back.. I've attached to the various dovecot processes to

can't get md5 stored passwords to work
In my mysql database everyone has plain passwords. I set the password don my account to {PLAIN-MD5}md5sum but when I go to login it wont let me. But I can log in with "{PLAIN-MD5}md5sum" it's like it ignores the whole {scheme} thing. So I changed my dovecot-mysql.conf to: default_pass_scheme = PLAIN-MD5 In the password field for my username I just used the md5sum. I stopped

Limiting number of IMAP connections per user
Hi, Is there a way of limiting the number of IMAP connections (i.e. processes) per user? Despite asking users to set their email client settings to limit themselves to 2 connections, some still have this set to 10 or more.
