ok - I tried this too. But CentOS tries to find the floppy as /dev/hda which is not the device for the USB-Floppy. Dell ships one with the server because no one is integrated. I have 1 Centos server V4.x already running VSFTPD and when the user logs in they get chrooted to the home directory, I have installed the same config files to a second server (again Centos V4.x) and have setup the same user on the second server but the user does not get chrooted to the home directory but is placed in /var/ftp/pub and cannot upload file. I am making some progress on my Centos 5 notebook build. So I am looking at Firefox and Thunderbird 2.0. Should I install them? Or is Redhat correct that there is nothing improved here and wait for 3.0? (well I have not even had a chance to look at Thunderbird 2.0, that is new)? I've heard now from more than one source about problems with CentOS (and RH) at least up through 5.2 w.r.t. SATA drive handling, and I've even reported on this myself in this list before. My question is, do we have any idea if 5.3 has any improvements in this area? Hello all, I can't get higher than 1280x1024 resolution (60hz, 24 depth). I'm running Centos 5 x86 64bit on AMD Athlon64 x2 4600, Geforce 6200 PCI express. Even as root, that is the highest I can set the display. I am guessin the kernel does not support my combo?
