Using readBin to read binary "unformatted" output files from Fortran?
Hello, I'm wondering if I can get some help with reading Fortran binary "unformatted" output files into R. The Fortran output files were generated in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS using gfortran4.4, on a 32bit Intel Core 2 Duo 3.16 GHz machine, with little-endian and record marker lengths equal to 4. The machine I'm currently trying to read this Fortran output file is a Macbook Pro

Fit Gompertz' curve'
Hi, I build a graph taking into account the times: 1, 2,4,6,8,10,12,15,18,21,24,28,32 and 48. Be that the scale of the X axis does not look right. It seems equidistant. (graph attached) What changes have I to do in the following commands so that the scale be correct? interaction.plot(Tempo, Trat, Valor, ylim=c(0, 2), las=1, lty=c(1,2,3,4), lwd=3, bty='l',

win2k will not authenticate when logging in
For a few weeks now we have been trying to research why our domain will not authenticate when we are logging in. The Samba logs indicate that our computers properly add into the domain, however after rebooting and attempting to log in we recieve an error message stating that our computer account is not in the domain. After reading the logs we have realized that Samba is indeed recieving and

[LLVMdev] Suspicious behavior of mem2reg (promoteSingleBlockAlloca)
Hi LLVMDev, this is Jeehoon Kang, a Ph.D. student of Software Foundations Laboratory ( http://sf.snu.ac.kr), Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, Seoul National University. Our group studied the mem2reg pass, and we got a question on its algorithm. As far as I understand, the mem2reg pass essentially uses the SSA construction algorithm to promote allocas into registers, but there are

Is it valid to dereference a pointer that have undef bits in its offset?
Thank you for the infos; it seems making it raise UB is problematic. Would clarifying it in LangRef be good? I can update the patch to contain the information instead. Another concern is then, how can we efficiently encode an assumption that a pointer variable in IR does not have undef bits? Certainly, in the front-end language, (most of) pointers won't have undef bits, and it would be great

The value of padding when storing an aggregate into memory
Hello all, LangRef isn't clear about the value of padding when an aggregate value is stored into memory, and I'd like to suggest that storing an aggregate fills padding with undef. Here are a few clues that supports this change: - According to C17, the value of padding bytes when storing values in structures or unions is unspecified. - IPSCCP ignores padding and directly stores a
