through ssh tunnels.
something which may provide a way to write something like :

Can I build an array of regrssion model?
Hi,
I am trying to use piecewise linear regression to approximate a
nonlinear function. Actually, I don't know how many linear functions I
need, therefore, I want build an array of regression models to automate
the approximation job. Could you please give me any clue?

Robust SE for lrm object
I'm trying to obtain the robust standard errors for a multinomial ordered logit model:
mod6 <- lrm(wdlshea ~ initdesch + concap + capasst + qualrat + terrain,data=full2)
The model is fine but when I try to get the RSE I get an error.

Problem with numerical integration and optimization with BFGS

polynomials REML and ML in nlme
Hello everyone,
I hope this is a fair enough question, but I don’t have access to a copy
of Bates and Pinheiro. It is probably quite obvious but the answer might
be of general interest.
If I fit a fixed effect with an added quadratic term and then do it as
an orthogonal polynomial using maximum likelihood I get the expected
result- they have the same logLik.

lme Random Effects and Covariates
1. I'm attempting to test for Random Effects. I've grouped the data on
subject (grid) but want to use lme to build the model without subject as a
RE then add it and do anova between the 2 models. This is the result I get
and it appears it's adding Random Effects.

as STATA and R seem to be yielding different survival estimates for the same
dataset when treating a variable as ordinal. Ordered() is used to represent
an ordinal variable) I understand that R's coxph (by default) uses the Efron

I am trying to recreate the analysis of the recent Kirwan et al paper in
Ecology [9(80), 2032-2032]. The SAS code is available but am having
troubles getting the R equivalents.

[klibc 00/31] klibc as a historyless patchset (updated and reorganized)
I have updated the klibc patchset based on feedback received. In
particular, the patchset has been reorganized so as not to break
git-bisect.
Additionally, this updates the patch base to 2.6.17-git12
(d38b69689c349f35502b92e20dafb30c62d49d63) and klibc 1.4.8; the main
difference on the klibc side is removal of obsolete code.
