Reading data in lisp format
Hi, I am trying to read the "credit.lisp" file of the Japanese credit database in UCI repository, but it is in lisp format which I do not know how to read. I have not found how to do that in the foreign library http://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Japanese+Credit+Screening <http://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Japanese+Credit+Screening> Could anyone help me? svychisq using two frames
Hello, I?m hoping you have a few minutes to help out someone very new to R. I?ve done some searching, but cannot find this particular issue. I have survey data from two different time periods (years). Both years are stratified samples and have the same variables (and variable names), but are different people in the community answering in the different years. Everything loads into the survey

svychisq
Dear All I am trying to use svychisq with a two-dimensional table 4 x 5. The command I am using is summary(svytable(~dietperception+dietstatus,dudleyls1rake,na.rm=TRUE),"C hisq") It is throwing up an error message as follows: Error in NCOL(y) : only 0's may be mixed with negative subscripts In addition: Warning messages: 1: is.na() applied to non-(list or vector) in:

svychisq??
Hello forum, I want to do a test of independence with svychisq, but I get an error, then this my code: am18 <- read.spss("C:/Users/diana/Dropbox/Semestre 10/Tesis 10/Tesis Diana/AMcomuna18-29MAR2012.sav", use.value.labels=TRUE, max.value.labels=Inf, to.data.frame=TRUE) b<-matrix(c(am18$N6_MANZANA),ncol=1) c<-matrix(c(am18$PM1_1_PONDEMUESTRA),ncol=1)

Wide to long form conversion
I have some data 'myData' in wide form (attached at the end), and would like to convert it to long form. I wish to have five variables in the result: 1) Subj: factor 2) Group: between-subjects factor (2 levels: s / w) 3) Reference: within-subject factor (2 levels: Me / She) 4) F: within-subject factor (2 levels: F1 / F2) 5) J: within-subject factor (2 levels: J1 / J2) As this is the

svydesign syntax
This message is for those familiar with the survey package. I need to fit a weighted Cox model to accommodate the sampling weights as I have a case-control study with controls sampled at random from a database in a ratio 2:1 to cases (whom were all sampled). I want to make sure I am using the right svydesign syntax to specify this sampling design. Can anyone please check if the statement below is

calling svydesign function that uses model.frame
I need help on calling the svydesign function in the survey package (although this error appears not to be specific to svydesign). I am passing parameters incorrectly but am not sure how to correct the problem. ## Call the main function PS.sim (one of mine). The dots are parameters I omitted to simplify the question. ## y.col, str.col, clus.id, and PS.col are names of columns in the object pop.

Svy function doesn't work nested in user-defined function
Hi R-help, I posted about this late yesterday but got no response. I may have put TMI in the original request. Not to mention I couldn't cut and paste yesterday because I was working R off a non-network computer while asking for help on a network computer. Essentially, I have this user-defined function: test <- function(X){ chisq <- svychisq(~X

Struggeling with svydesign()
Dear all, We are analysing some survey data and we are not sure if we are using the correct syntax for our design. The population of interest is a set of 4416 polygons with different sizes ranging from 0.003 to 45.6 ha, 7460 ha in total. Each polygon has a binary attribute (presence/absence) and we want to estimate the probability of presence in the population. We used sampling with replacement

Is there any design based two proportions z test?
Dear Md Kamruzzaman, To answer your second question first, you could just use the svychisq() function. The difference-of-proportion test is equivalent to a chisquare test for the 2-by-2 table. You don't say how you computed the confidence intervals for the two separate proportions, but if you have their standard errors (and if not, you should be able to infer them from the confidence

Is there any design based two proportions z test?
Hello Everyone, I was analysing big survey data using survey packages on RStudio. Survey package allows survey data analysis with the design effect. The survey package included functions for all other statistical analysis except two-proportion z tests. I was trying to calculate the difference in prevalence of Diabetes and Prediabetes between the year 2011 and 2017 (with 95%CI). I was able to

Is there any design based two proportions z test?
Dear Md Kamruzzaman, I've copied this response to the r-help list, where you originally asked your question. That way, other people can follow the conversation, if they're interested and there will be a record of the solution. Please keep r-help in the loop See below: On 2024-01-17 9:47 p.m., Md. Samba + Cups -> PPD Options problem - 1 attachment
Hi, I have many printers installed under cups on a samba server, so the printers can be used and installed on Mac and PCs. My problem appeared with some new printers I bought and their PPDs. Under Cups, all the PPD options (Page Sizes, Trays, etc..) appear if I looked at them from the cups printer configuration page or if I use it from a Mac. But if I install the printers under windows

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking
