is ipp2p working (kazaa)
i am using ipp2p module (v 0.6) from
http://rnvs.informatik.uni-leipzig.de/ipp2p/index_en.html
I have tried it on kazaa and e-donkey connections.
Unfortunately, I am interesting in limiting kazaa traffic, which
this modules seems not to work right with it. (Kazza traffic is
not identified most of the cases....).
Has anyone tried this kazza bandwidth control???

Using SIP stack within Asterisk to reboot phones - Possible?
Hi Everyone,
I use Asterisk for regularPBX use it's made for. But I want to take it a bit
further and use it at cmmand level to be able to send SIP notifies to
restart a phone or take advantage of a phone's UPnP capabilities. Is
Asterisk capable of that? If so, what is a simple SIP reboot message like
and how can I invoke it from a Asterisk CLI?
If Asterisk is not the best tool for this

Eyebeam Vs. Windows Messanger,
G'Day All,
Eyebeam has gotten my interest but I do not have a "high-altitude" view
of its interraction with *, therefore my questions.
I already have * happily running and taking care of business on my
Windows network. I also have Windows IM running on my exchange server
and users a IM'ing quite a bit - all internal though-.
While I would prefer to use * and eyebeam, I am quite

Wine and XP
I have Wine working, and my Windows XP-installation mounted
as read only. Reading the FAQ, I noticed: "DON'T configure Wine
to use an NT-based Windows install (NT, Win2K, WinXP)."
So... is it futile to try to get XP-applications running on my
Linux-box? Should I install them from Wine, and if so, how?
"wine SETUP.EXE"?
I'm mostly interested in running Instant Messanger

QSG
I just installed Shorewall for the first time
and had no working knowledge of iptables other than
a couple magazine articles prior to this time.
The use of the QSG is fresh in my mind.
It was the single most helpful guide of any on
the site.
Comments:
1) The /etc/shorewall/masq section shows
the use of the third column but then says you don''t
need it if you have a dynamic ip.

Cisco SIP license?
In order to use a cisco phone and the SIP image, do you need a license, or
just the firmware.
Is this like saying that you can get music, all you need is something like
kazza? Or if you get the phone and the image are you legit?
What does it take to get the lic?

match
Hi,
I'm new about R. My problem is:
I have 2 lists of proteins and I would compare them. I import the 2
lists like 2 different matrixs and I would that the first entry in the
matrix 1 match with all entries of the matrix 2, then the second entry
of the matrix 1 matchs with all entries of the matrix 2 and repeat
this process with all entries of the matrix 1. Anybodies know can I do

Puzzled why my scripts don''t give me the desired result
I am wondering if someone can examine why my set up does not give me the
desired result. What I aim to achieve is to make DNS, ICMP, POP3, HTTP,
SSH, SMTP traffic at a higher priority than FTP serving and Kazza traffic.
However, when the FTP server is busy servicing FTP traffic, web browsing
traffic has dragged to almost unusable.
Abstract of my iptables script follows:-

Windows Live Messenger 2009 - Is it possible?
Yes, I've already read the AppDB, but it's a bit confusing.
Every tests results rate it as "Garbage". Some says it runs, soem says it doesn't.
However, there's a post right below the tests results which says it's possible to install, run and make WLM 2009 to work.
The problem is that I can't find that offline .msi installation file anywhere in Google.

[Asterisk-Dev] presence and IM again, want to develop a working "hack"
Hello,
I was again asked to try to add support for presence
(SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY) and IM using SIMPLE. I have few questions:
a.) are there any, at least partial projects, patches, anything,
that at least partly implements presence and/or IM to chan_sip? I
don't care about presence on other channels, I have one SIP client per
user. I've read this list's archive several times and
