Problem with an Tree-like object hierarchy (ActiveRecord acts_as_tree)
Hello people on rails,
I am developing a web interface for a database that has hierarchical
data. I want the user to be able to browse the tree (~1300 nodes) and
activate/deactivate and showing/hiding groups of nodes (like
selecting one node selects all the children and the leafs). So I have
a tree of objects (ActiveRecord acts_as_tree). Because I need the
tree to be persistent and I

working fine, until I installed a software and then
all fonts in menus and messages became weird symbols.
I am sending a screenshot to show how it is today.
Also I will let the image in

progress! (just good news...no problems this post)!
Thanks to various inputs (and lots of reading/rereading of my books/manpages) and lots of experimentation...(and light bulbs turning on).
I now have windows ACLS/permissions working on my samba shares and they are
being automatically stored in the XFS xattrs. (I checked that they are being
added on the server with the xattr cmd). Yippie! (yeah, big whoop to you ol' timers,

Collins Master Dictionary (closer yet)
Hey, thanks for all the help,
the
"Desktop"="800x600"
line in the .conf file helped a lot, the elements within the window don't
dissappear anymore. Thanks! :)
Only one little glitch is keeping the program from being useful:
The dictionary doesn't use a standard 'search' field and button as one might
expect, instead, all of the entries for the selected

Can I index a dataframe with a reference from/to a second dataframe?
Hello,
I am unable to figure out how to code a new column in a data frame based
on an existing column that matches a column in a reference data frame,
in a relational-db fashion. I would like this to maintain a minimum set
of reference tables that may be reused over several similar datasets.
Specifically, I have two data frames as listed below, 'Bos' and 'tree.'

Problem Compiling 1.1.1 on AIX
Hi all,
We've been running Dovecot since December '07 with with no glitches.
It's a great solid piece of software, thanks so much Timo!!
I thought I'd try out 1.1.1, so I brought it down and tried compiling
it on AIX, using the IBM compiler, xlc. It's what I've used all along.
The error I'm seeing on the make is:
