SCSI controller setup
I have an IDE based PC running Linux/CentOS4 to which I wish to attach a scsi dlt. The host controller is an Adaptec AHA3940 something that lspci reports as: SCSI storage controller: Initio Corporation 360P (rev 02). I would like to have the system load the driver for this adapter at boot but I have two problems: 1. I am not sure which driver to use; and 2. I do not know how to force

pictex graphics device and color
Is the pictex graphics device known not to support color? In R 2.0.1 Patched (2004-11-17), it produced very pretty output: ## pictex(file = "modern-metatheonomy.tex", bg = "transparent"); ## plotData(data); ## dev.off() ... but it appears to have ignored all color information. __________ Steve Rowley <steve.rowley at sanofi-aventis.com> Cambridge, MA: (617) 768-4054

Phone compatibility list
Hello! Is there a phone compatibility list anywhere? I know Asterisk is supposed to be compatible with IP phones that support SIP, h.232, and IAX, but a list of phone known to be supported would be a nice addition to the documentation. I need a buisiness phone, and the Cisco is _EXPENSIVE_ I like the 3com 1102, but it is NBX phone, and I can find no documentation of this phone working

was FXO cards
Hey guys, appreciate the input. Here are some thoughts. ADSI phones are out of the question. This is a business environment, I can't worry about my employees not knowing how to forward calls, answer calls when away from the multiline phone, and no ADSI phone will handle multiple lines that I have found. I would love to put 6 X100P cards in a case and run asterisk on it. but... I

Unable to mount a USB DVD drive
I can't seem to get an external DVD drive to show up on an CentOS 7 server. Wondering if it's just missing a driver or if I'm missing something fundamental. It's an external USB device that works fine on my Fedora 21 Laptop, but I never get a /dev/ entry (EG: /dev/sr0) on the server. What can I do to make this thing work? Disappearing Network Manager config scripts
Is anyone frustrated by Network Manager? I wish CentOS just used the basic configuration files like the ones on BSD-style OSes. Those are so simple in comparison. Each time I reboot, it seems like the configuration file I create for Network Manager gets destroyed and replaced with a default file. Nothing in the default file would actually make sense on my network, so I'm not even really sure

New Package fansi: ANSI Control Sequence Aware String Functions
fansi provides counterparts to the base string manipulation functions substr, strwrap, strtrim, strsplit, and n(z)char that account for ANSI CSI SGR control sequences.? ANSI CSI SGR control sequences [1] can be used to format text in terminals that support them. For example the control sequence "\033[31m" causes text that follows to render in red, and the control sequence
